Located just outside the charming village of Giroussens, at the gateway to the Gaillac vineyards.
Giroussens, a former 13th-century bastide town built around a castle overlooking the valley, prospered thanks to the potters who established themselves on the edge of the forest.
They benefited from a privilege granted to the inhabitants: the right to take wood from the forest to fuel their kilns.
Remarkable pieces from this local industry are now on display at the Giroussens Ceramics Center. At Le Rivel, everything is designed for a peaceful holiday: quality service, spacious rooms, a beautiful terrace for pleasant summer evenings, and a vast garden, not to mention the covered pétanque court and the lovely swimming pool, all for your exclusive use! ... and since 2026, all the upstairs rooms, as well as the one in the annex, have air conditioning... (the ground floor is not air-conditioned). Opposite the entrance, a park with a granite table shaded by plane trees offers the perfect setting for al fresco dining.
On the south side, the kitchen opens onto a large terrace where you can admire the Agout Valley and the village of Saint-Lieux below. A 4,000 m² plot has been planted with trees (holm oaks, downy oaks, field maples, and umbrella pines). ** THE COTTAGE ** - Living room with TV and a fireplace to enhance your winter evenings - Beautiful kitchen with dining table, equipped with an American-style fridge-freezer, Senseo® pod coffee maker and filter coffee maker, 2 toasters, microwave, kettle, oven, dishwasher, raclette/hot stone grill, immersion blender, and electric mixer. Behind the kitchen, a laundry room with a sink, washing machine, and cleaning supplies - Four large bedrooms: - each equipped with two single beds (90x190cm) - one bedroom is located on the ground floor of the cottage, next to the living room - three bedrooms are located upstairs - A bathroom with double vanity, shower, and bathtub is located on the ground floor.
A separate toilet is also located on the ground floor. - A second bathroom

La grande bouffe
Très bon week-end dans 1 beau gite. Grand, bien équipé et bien situé.Très appréciable, le linge de maison et le ménage sont compris dans la loc et les lits faits à l'arrivée !Nous reviendrons aux beaux jours pour tester les équipements extérieurs (boulodrome, piscine, ping-pong...)

Le gîte et ses aménagements sont parfaits pour une semaine de vacances ! Entre la piscine, le boulodrome éclairé la nuit, la cuisine spacieuse et les alentours offrants beaucoup d'activité, nous y serions bien restés quelques jours de plus. Je recommande chaudement
