Saldaña is settled in the north of Palencia and it is a village with history: it was an old Roman settlement, it has ruins of the castle of Doña Urraca from the XII century, a medieval square and nobility houses.

The rural house is in the Plaza Vieja (Old Square) of Saldaña, called like that because it is one of the areas with more history in the village. It is a medieval paved square with coats of arms.
