Perfect location for professionals, friends, couples, families who want to spend a pleasant stay in Basel, near the center (Marktplatz 800 m), in a quiet residential area.
The apartment is very quiet, the street in front of it is of limited speed (30 km/h) and mostly used by cyclists!
The apartment consists of:
- a large living room with sofa, free Wi-Fi, flat screen TV, desk, balcony (with a small garden table and two chairs during the summer)
- a fully equipped kitchen, furnished with refrigerator, freezer, oven, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave oven. Eating area with table and chairs for four people.
- a double bedroom with balcony and private bathroom (with bathtub)
- two single rooms
- a second bathroom (with shower)
All the bedrooms overlook the quiet green courtyard.
Unoccupied bedrooms are locked.
A cot/crib for children up to 1 year of age (maximum 15 kg) and a highchair are available.
At customer's disposition and included in the price:
- salt, pepper, sugar, vinegar, tea, coffee capsules
- dish detergent, kitchen linen
- bed linen, towels, detergent, shampoo
- private washing machine and drier, washing powder.
Private parking in the garage of the same building, CHF 15 per night (ask the owner).
At check-in the customer receives:
- BASEL CARD (free ticket for public transport in Basel and 50% discount on museum admissions, zoo etc.).
- city map and useful information about the city
The apartment is located near the tram stop "Zoo Bachletten", two tram stops from the main train station Basel SBB. Basel's central square "Marktplatz" is 800 m away.
Direct connection to Stadttheater, Marktplatz, the Congress Center (Messe), Fondation Beyeler, (tram no. 6) and the Novartis campus (tram no. 1).
The zoo is a stone's throw from the house. The nearest supermarket is 250 m away.
The "Schützenmattpark", only 450 m from home, is a pleasant green oasis in all seasons. There is always a good reason to visit it: to go for a walk in the green, to go jogging, to take the children to play in the children's playground and/or to go to the bar/restaurant "Pavillon im Park". Moreover, in the morning you might see a group of storks that visits the park regularly!
Check in after 21.00 h. Surcharge of CHF 20, payable in cash on arrival.

Property had everything we needed. Host met us on arrival and explained everything and gsve us suggestions for Basel. it is a wonderful property and we would stay here again if in Basel

The apartment is located close to everything we needed and our host was lovely! She had maps prepared for us and also got us city passes before we arrived (half off to the zoo, museums, etc). She was an incredible host! The apartment was furnished with everything we needed. If I have the chance come back, I hope this is still available.

This is an exceptional apartment. Clean, comfortable, and excellent location. Host is wonderful and provides great recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. We loved our visit to Basel!
