Entire self-contained apartment (renovated in August 2018), 75 square metres, 2 bedrooms (each sleeping 2 people), very large living room with adjoining dining area and open kitchen. The apartment features two bedrooms, each sleeping up to two people—one with a double bed and the other with two single beds (which can be pushed together upon request; a third bed can also be added upon request), a living room (with 2 additional sleeper sofas for up to 4 more people) with an adjoining dining area and an open, fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower.
Free Wi-Fi and TV, as well as bed linens, shower towels, and hand towels.
Amenities: TV and Wi-Fi, washing machine, refrigerator, microwave, small oven, small dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, glasses, pots and pans, wok. Large safe.
The apartment itself is wheelchair-accessible and can be reached without stairs. A ramp leading from the terrace to the apartment door overcomes a 63-cm elevation difference over a length of 3.53 m. The slope is therefore 17%, and wheelchair users may need assistance with the ramp. The bathroom is also accessible, featuring a walk-in shower and a wheelchair-accessible sink. Of course, the bathroom can also be used normally; the accessibility features do not restrict standard use. See the photos for more detailed information. The kitchen has a wheelchair-accessible area near the stove and standard worktops.
Outdoors
A small, private, enclosed garden faces east; the living area faces southwest towards the shared garden, which features a large wooden deck (117 square metres) and a lawn under a birch and a willow tree. The wooden deck assigned to the holiday rental measures 41 square metres and is furnished with seating and lounge furniture.
Guests are also welcome to use the large sandy area with a fire pit, a swing grill, and a small 800° gas grill. Fire pit with swing grill and 800° gas grill for steaks and “real pizza” in the garden.
House & grounds
Three beds can also be provided in Bedroom 1. The holiday rental is part of a very spacious, single-story single-family home with two in-law suites. The apartment is bright and welcoming, with its own entrance and friendly hosts right next door. We (Katrin + Oliver and our 3 children) live in the main house, and Grandma lives in another in-law apartment.
Location & surroundings
The house is located in a very quiet residential area, within walking distance of the Old Town, the historic town hall, and the city centre. In the other direction, it’s also close to the forest. Its location is ideal for walking and hiking, but also for business travellers looking to unwind after a busy day.
The Old Town, with its famous town hall, sights, cafés, and restaurants, as well as one of Germany’s most beautiful Christmas markets, is easily accessible in about an 8-minute walk (800 m). In the other direction, you can walk about 750 metres to the edge of the forest and about 900 metres to the Herrmannstempel, which offers a beautiful view of the Michelstadt Valley.

- Please check the current travel regulations regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and make sure you comply with them.
- Dogs are also welcome. They should get along with other dogs. We have 4 collies ourselves. They should also not chase cats (we have 2 cats). Other pets (e.g., cats) may be brought along upon request. Cats should preferably not leave the apartment.
- Day guests without an overnight stay: €10/day. Please arrange this in advance. The maximum occupancy of 8 people should not be exceeded, even with day guests.
- The apartment is non-smoking, but smoking is permitted in the gardens. After 11:00 p.m., please smoke only in the front garden.
- Parking space on the street. Parking on the street is generally very easy to find. Upon request, you can also reserve a parking spot in the driveway. (10 €/day)

Ein schöner kurzer Urlaub in einer sauberen Ferienwohnung. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber.Nur die Wohnung waran den ersten beiden Tagen zu kühl. Die kleinen Radiatoren haben nicht die Gasheizung ersetzt.
