Get to know this 18th century (former) hunting lodge! Surrounded by a lovely wooded park, in the countryside and 2,5 km away from Valognes, sometimes referred to as the Versailles of Normandy. You are on the peninsula of Cotentin. You must remember to pay a visit to the D-Day beaches (18 km). This is where the Allies landed in 1944. Visit the famous Airborne museum in Sainte-Mère-Église (20 km). This place is famous for the parachutist doll hanging off the church tower, a memorial to parachutist John Steele, who was caught on the church steeple on D-Day.

The seaside resort of Barneville-Carteret is worth a visit; from the harbour you can take the boat to the Channel Islands Jersey and Guernsey.
