Plaka is the old historical neighborhood of Athens, clustered around the northern and eastern slopes of the Acropolis, and incorporating labyrinthine streets and neoclassical architecture. It is located between Syntagma and Monastiraki square. Adrianou Street (running north and south) is the largest and most central street in Plaka.
There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and coffee shops in the neighborhood. Nearby is Ermou street, which is the main shopping street of Athens.
Please also be aware that there may be noise from the bars located downstairs, particularly during the evenings. We recommend this property for guests who are comfortable with a lively atmosphere.
GETTING AROUND
Metro / Underground is the most convenient mean of transit for the location. Syntagma Station is only a 5 min walk away (450m), from where you have access to Lines 2 and 3 (the 2 Metro lines of the city).
All Public transport (Bus and Tram) is also easily accessible from the location within 5 min walk.

The apartment is very pleasant - not wonderful but nice enough for a busy few days in Athens. The location is excellent - incredibly central to lots of great places in the city. If noise bothers you, keep in mind that there is a very popular, busy and loud late night (closes at 2am) bar right outs...

Great location with plenty of restaurants all around. Close to the Stigmata square, metro etc. There are steps to get to the elevator.
