The old town dates back to the second half of the seventeenth century.

Piazza Vittorio Emanuele III has a rectangular shape and on it overlooking the Santa Maria Church and the Church of the Itria, as well as the City Palace.

From the viewpoint of the country you can also have a magnificent views of the plain of Gela and the Maroglio river valley.

Nearby are also archaeological sites and natural areas such as Sughereta Niscemi, recognized by the European Union cominitario interest.
