You will be charmed by this tastefully decorated 1 bedroom flat (located on the ground floor of the townhouse, there is one flat on each floor). We have restored this 18th century townhouse, combining old and new styles to achieve (we think) a tasteful result. Paying particular attention to the comfort of our guests, we have chosen such essentials as beds and furniture.
Situated in a quiet part of the pedestrian area on the main street (rue Nationale). Within walking distance of everything that makes Amboise a great holiday destination.
- Historical sites: the 13th century church of St Denis, the castle of the Royal Amboise, the home of François 1er and other kings of France, the Clos Lucé, the last residence of Leonardo da Vinci and the historic streets in the centre of the old town.
- Gourmet restaurants, an excellent weekly open-air market on the banks of the Loire, offering local specialities: cheeses, wines, meat and local produce.
- Bakery, kiosk, supermarket (open from 7am to 10pm) Mont-Sat, delicatessen, boutiques.
In the summer months, the town is lively: open-air night markets, street performers, exhibitions by local artists, outdoor swimming pool on the nearby Ile d'or.
A short drive will take you to: Chateau Chenonceau, Chateau Chambord (all the main castles in the Loire Valley).
