Pretty and at the same time practically furnished vacation apartment (entrance area on the first floor, but 1st floor facing the other side of the apartment) of a natural stone house in the hinterland of the popular seaside resort of Santa Maria di Castellabate surrounded by vines, olive and fig trees, which invite you to take a walk in nature after a day at the beach. The panoramic apartment has a balcony where you can relax in the evening with an aperitif and enjoy the wonderful view to the sea in the distance. The property where your apartment is located is surrounded by a spacious, communal plot and a few meters from your front door there is a private outdoor seating area where you can have your breakfast or dinner outside. The apartment is ideal for a small family with one or two children, your shower room also has a washing machine, a detail not to be neglected especially during summer vacations. The pretty seaside town of Santa Maria di Castellabate offers wide free and equipped sandy beaches, a beautiful promenade right in the town, nice coffee bars and excellent restaurants where you can taste the varied specialties and the excellent wines of this region. Don't miss a visit to the ancient hamlet called Castellabate (UNESCO World Heritage Site), located about 280 meters above sea level, which dominates the entire bay of Santa Maria di Castellabate. This medieval mountain village was mentioned for the 1st mail in 1123, still today, as in the past, it is a labyrinth of ancient little houses, romantic alleys, stairways, small squares with breathtaking panoramas and hidden trattorias or small bars. The "piazzetta", or village square, is the meeting place of both the inhabitants of the village and some vacationers; here, too, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the surrounding hills, while the wide view of the sea from the Belvedere di San Costabile completely captivates the onlookers, especially during sunset. The Cilento is located in the Campania region, in southern Italy, between Paestum in the north, Sapri in the south and the Vallo di Diano in the east, with about 100 km of coastline, mountains and 200 small, mostly medieval villages. For the lovers of culture, we recommend a visit to the majestic temples of Paestum, in the north of Cilento, and the wide staircase with its "scaloni" and the imposing 16th century gate that lead to the medieval center of the small town of Agropoli, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire coast from the fortifications of the old town. Apartment was spacious with a wonderful view to the village of Castellabate and the sea. Only the mattresses in the bedrooms could have been a little bit harder to be more comfortable.
We enjoyed the big terrace and the friendliness of our hosts. So we can absolutely recommend this apartment- but a car will be required because of the rather remote location.
