Our holiday home, built in 2005, is located on the edge of the Sierra Tejeda Nature Reserve at an elevation of 750 metres. The house is set in a vineyard and surrounded by almond trees. You’ll enjoy a unique view of the mountains, the white villages, and the sea. Absolute peace and nature guarantee a relaxing holiday. There are many hiking opportunities in the immediate vicinity. The sea is about 20 km away. The cities of Málaga, Seville, Granada, Ronda, and Córdoba are just a few hours away.
Our house is tastefully decorated throughout. It features a large living room with a fireplace and piano, as well as a new, fully equipped kitchen that leaves nothing to be desired.
In 2012, we enclosed the large terrace with glass and added a fireplace—perfect for the colder months—and in the summer, the doors can be opened completely.
The house, set on approximately 3,500 square metres of land with about 200 square metres of lawn/flat garden and a private pool (approximately 6 x 4 m), is located in a very quiet area. From the hammock, you can enjoy the afternoon light on the peaks of the Sierra mountains.
Hiking: Las Manianitas is an ideal starting point for hikes in the nearby Sierra Tejeda, Almijara, and Alhama mountain ranges. We recommend the “Andalusien-Süd” hiking guide published by Rother-Verlag, Munich. It describes several routes starting from Competa or Canillas de Albaida. However, please exercise caution: rather than relying on the walking times listed in this guide, it’s best to double the specified times—that way, you’ll be on the safe side. Ask the owners for more information about hikes.
Horseback Riding: You can go horseback riding on well-trained horses in the area or in the mountains. The horses will be picked up at the house, and you’ll explore the area with a guide according to your preferences. Please enquire about prices at
