Cottage refurbished in a shabby chic style in 2015 with new contemporary kitchen/bathroom 2017. This is an old quaint quarryman's character cottage built of Portland stone in approx 1810, with feature exposed stone walls. The back bedrooms look out to sea and you can gaze out to sea from the the front door. The Kitchen is fully integrated including washing machine. (no freezer). has ice maker.
Washing line in the back yard on a pulley system for drying or tumble driers in laundrette a stones throw from the cottage. The back garden is small but enough to sit outside and listen to the sea; is also a suntrap.
We have hung plenty of hooks for drying surf/sailing gear along the garden wall. The attic room is perfect to lay on the bed and listen to the waves below in Chesil Cove.
This is also a tranquil place to relax or look out to sea, seen from the back bedrooms windows.
There is a fabulous beach pub/restaurant a very short walk away that has good food and a perfect place to watch the sun set. The cottage is staggering distance from the South West Coast Path which is an integral part of Chesil Cove. For sailing enthusiasts the National Sailing Academy is a stroll down the hill and here you will find sailing/surfing schools which frequent the safe waters of Portland harbour.
Beach/harbourside cafe's abound on Portland and Weymouth, where you can enjoy a drink or lunch whilst looking out across the waters from Chesil Cove, Portland Marina or the Fleet Lagoon.
Weymouth harbour is beautiful all year round and retains its old fashioned charm with picturesque painted houses, cobbled streets and fishing boats moored in the harbour.
Plenty of cafe’s restaurants here too.
There are numerous festivals going on all year, notably the seafood festival in July which attracts celebrity Chef's and the Carnival in August.
Not forgetting how famous Weymouth is for its fancy dress at New Year!

This is the second year that we've stayed here and will continue to book in the futue. It is a beautiful accommodation, local to amenities and in walking distance to the beach.I couldn't recommend this property and Alison high enough.

We stayed here for a rock climbing weekend and had a great time! Beautiful cosy cottage and so comfortable! Loved listening to the seagulls in the evening over wine ans the best sunsets just down the road! Alison was great with her communication. Thank you

Nice little cottage on a steep Portland Road. Cosy living/ dining room with steep stairs up to bedrooms. Parking right outside the door for not too large cars obstructs porch but almost guarantees you the space!
