The San Marcos was wrecked off Mutton Island and the headland above Quilty is named Spanish point in memory of the events of 1588. Beaches – There are some lovely beaches in the area including Seafield beach (0.6 miles) Spanish Point (4 miles), Whitestrand (6 miles), Doonbeg (8 miles) and Lahinch (12 miles). Spanish Point Golf Course (4.3 miles) presents a challenge to all categories of handicap golfers and is a fantastic place for the game.

The house was great. Three adult couples had loads of space in a central location. We made day trips to Bunratty, Loop Head, Cliffs of Mohr and the Burren very easily. We highly recommend this house.

The house was wonderful and is a great layout. Plenty of room for everyone, or enough space if you wanted to be alone. The check in process was easy. The house is in a beautiful area and loved the surrounding towns.
