The Deluxe Penthouse Apartment is located on the top floor of Laurel House. The Apartment is accessed from the communal hallway of the building. Guests enter into the private hallway. From the hallway, guests can access the lounge and bedroom. The bedroom of this modern one-bedroom apartment has the added benefit of a workspace/dressing area. The kitchen/living area of the apartment has sofa and fitted Smart TV onto the exposed brickwork wall. The ultra-modern shower room of this penthouse apartment is accessed through the kitchen.
Each apartment in Laurel House benefits from a Smart HDTV, workspace with convenient sockets, free Wi-Fi, washing/drying machine and warm lighting. The large bedrooms benefit from comfortable double beds, Egyptian cotton linen, blackout curtains and Bluetooth speaker sockets. The kitchens in each apartment are equipped with a kettle, toaster, cooking appliances, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. Each bathroom is equipped with high pressured power showers and movement sensor lighting. The apartment was nice. However, the new rule of not allowing visitors, or capping the number of visitors your guests can have & informing you ahead (with IDs) is very odd. One of your selling points should be "home away from home"; but it felt like walking on egg shells this time. You already have ...

The Flat was as advertised. I had a car, so the parking space was easy. I used the clothes washer as I stayed for over a week. There is a Tesco Express within 5 minutes walk. Downtown Reading is nearby, albeit dreary, and , for me , the 25 minute train to London was great. Good TV with streaming access. Great Shower!
