Cape Finisterre (end of the Earth) is one of the most western points in Europe. The region is composed of mountains and sea (with cliffs) which protects the beaches from the northern winds. There are beaches in the enclosed “rias” (where the water is warmer) and in the open sea (where the water is cooler and the conditions for surfing and underwater fishing are excellent).
