The Imperial is close enough for breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks, 22 steps across the lawn, but far enough away for a peaceful, undisturbed stay.

We wanted to explore Devon and would have preferred a quiet country location to do so. However none were available for our dates so we took the plunge on a city centre base.
