A restored 1911 waterfront estate on Skarpö — 7 bedrooms, private dock, and wood-fired sauna
- 16 People
- 7 Bedrooms
- 4 Bathrooms
- Villa
- No pets allowed
- WiFi
Villa Solbacka 1911 sits at the end of a small road on Skarpö, just outside Vaxholm. Reached by car and a short ferry, the estate is secluded and quiet — one of our most private properties.
Seven bedrooms span the main house and two guest cottages. The original architecture remains: wooden floors, generous windows, the warmth of a home built to last. Recent renovations brought new bathrooms and a fully updated kitchen, while the character of 1911 stayed untouched.
The main house opens to light and garden views. A living room with original floors and open fireplace. The kitchen — newly renovated with premium appliances — connects to a dining room overlooking the lawn. Guest House 1 offers its own living space with deep sofas, kitchen, and a loft with six single beds. Guest House 2 is quieter, suited for couples seeking privacy.
Seven bedrooms, twelve beds. Three king-size rooms in the main house, each with private sinks and one en-suite. Guest House 1 has two king-size bedrooms plus the loft. Guest House 2 offers one king-size bedroom. Bathrooms feature heated floors and walk-in showers. The main house includes a spa area with freestanding tub and fireplace. Premium linen and towels throughout.
A private dock extends into the water with open views across the bay. The wood-fired sauna sits steps from the shore. The garden has grown quietly over decades: old trees, stone paths, lawn reaching the waterline. An outdoor kitchen for summer grilling. Outdoor dining seats the full group. Badminton court, ping pong table, trampoline. A small motorboat included for short trips between islands. Also available: canoe, two SUPs, wakeboard, waterskis, fishing equipment.
Skarpö is a 40-minute drive from Stockholm, followed by a 10-minute car ferry. The villa sits at the end of a small road on elevated ground — private, with water on three sides and views across the surrounding landscape.
Vaxholm town is a ten-minute boat ride — cafés, restaurants, a small harbor. The archipelago stretches in every direction: Grinda, Möja, Sandhamn. Stockholm is close enough for a day trip, far enough to feel worlds away.
At Scandinavian Hospitality the following is always included:
- Champagne on arrival and a personal walkthrough.
- Premium linen, towels, and bathrobes.
- Byredo bathroom amenities.
- Concierge support throughout your stay.
- Departure cleaning.
Our concierge team can arrange boat trips, pre-stock the kitchen, book restaurants, or organise a private chef — whatever you need to make your stay seamless.
