El Empecinado Rural House is a house or mansion from the early sixteenth century, highlighting in its facade a semicircular arch, masonry walls, 12 gates jailers, three of them with beautiful figures of fish. It is a three-storey building completely restored following the guidelines of traditional architecture in stone and wood.
It has 9 rooms (all with bathroom and heating), seven of them doubles, other two suite type (equipped with sofa, desk, extra bed, without forgetting its amplitude and decoration. It has two very large rooms, one used as a dining room and the other with a fireplace for resting, reading room, gatherings, work meetings etc ...
During the reign of Felipe II, the nearby Ducal village of Pastrana had a great cultural, economic ... etc, and Fuentelviejo was within the route that linked Pastrana with Madrid and Guadalajara, and it is at this time where important personalities pass for the people like Santa Teresa, the Princess of Éboli, Ruy de Silva, the Counts of Tendilla ...
