Golfo Gabella is a family friendly lakeside resort on the shores of Lake Maggiore.
This particular Golfo Gabella apartment is well furnished and equipped and, as well as boasting its own private garden, guests also enjoy use of a large swimming pool and jacuzzi, surrounded by teak decking and loungers.
There is a popular restaurant on site as well as a bar and cafe.
The beach is immediately across from the resort. The Space: This Golfo Gabella apartment is furnished in a modern and contemporary style.
It has 2 double bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, sink, bidet and toilet, as well as an open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The kitchen is well equipped with oven, hob, coffee machine, fridge / freezer, toaster and washing machine with integrated dryer.
There is also a kettle and Nespresso coffee machine and an 'honesty box' enabling guests to pay for any capsules required.
Comfortable sofas provide relaxed seating around a TV and DVD player and there is also a dining table seating four, the perfect place to enjoy dinner during a stay at this Golfo Gabella apartment during the colder Winter months. Both bedrooms in this Golfo Gabella apartment are a good size and both have double beds (one of which is a kingsize bed).
The smaller of the two bedrooms also has a feature wall with an image of a kite surfer in action.
Both rooms have plenty of built in storage space and comfortable beds to ensure a good nights sleep. For those staying in the warmer months of the year, the property has a private terrace, equipped with table and 6 chairs, ideal for al fresco dining.
Doors lead from both the living area and bedroom to this terrace.
The covered terrace enjoys views of the lake and mountains behind and also provides good views of the pool area.
There is also a lawned area adjacent to the patio.
In total the private garden area and terrace measures 100 square metres and is south facing, enjoying the sun all day long. The communal pool is literally a few metres from the garden.
This measures 20m x 10m with a depth of 1.5 metres.
There is also a separate children's pool (4m x 5m and 0.3 metres deep) and a jacuzzi.
If you prefer swimming in the lake, there is also a beach just a few yards from the property, where guests can hire boats, pedalos or canoes.
The property is also within walking distance of a number of restaurants.
The pool is normally open from May to September however in 2025 it may not open until June due to maintenance works being carried out. Guest Access: Guests have exclusive use of this Golfo Gabella apartment and its private terrace.
Guests also enjoy shared use of the swimming pool and jacuzzi. The Neighborhood: Maccagno is a popular, bustling lakeside town with a number of restaurants, bars and cafes all within walking distance of this Golfo Gabella apartment.
The nearest restaurant is on site whilst the second closest is just a few metres in the other direction but there are several more within a short walk.
There is also a tourist information office within the town if you need any information about what to see and do in the area along with a well stocked supermarket. The apartment is situated just across from a lakeside beach area which is popular with the locals and is a short walk from the boat stop where you can catch a boat to all the other towns and villages on the lake.
It's also within walking distance of other public transport options including trains and buses. Getting Around: Since this Golfo Gabella apartment is within walking distance of the boat stop, a car is not essential although having one will allow you to explore more of the area.
It is possible to get from Milan Malpensa airport to the village by train or by taxi. Other Things to Note: This Golfo Gabella apartment is a great option for anyone looking to be able to get out and about on the lake without the need to always get in a car.
We think that having a car will enable you to access certain sights not easy to reach without your own transport, but there is more than enough to see and do in a week or two week stay which is accessible by public transport (train, bus or boat). There are a number of apartments to choose from within the Golfo Gabella resort but this is definitely one of our favourites, not least because of the prime space it occupies which means it can boast a large private terrace and garden enjoying plenty of sunshine and with excellent lake and pool views.

Vi var der for 2. gang og synes fortsat at det er et af de bedste steder vi har været. Smukke omgivelser, fed pool og meget pæne lejligheder. Fedt med aircondition og p-hus med egen p-plads.
