The beautiful surrounding landscape of olive trees makes it one of the leading producers of olive oil in the region, and the fruit appears in many of its spectacular dishes, which visitors love to devour. Yedra Castle is the focal point of the town centre, and it's also home to the Upper Guadalquivir Popular Arts and Traditions Museum.
True to its historical significance, The town hall is located in a Renaissance-style building called 'Padres Mercedarios', a convent dating from the 1500s and is one of many buildings that makes up the historic aesthetic of the town.
Another former convent, San Juan de la Penitenciaria, is now a youth hostel and boasts the same architectural style.
The town boasts a number of public and historic spaces such as Las Cadenas and La Vicaria palaces, Plaza de Santa Maria and the churches of San Jose, San Francisco and El Carmen, which visitors should make a priority to visit. If you happen to visit Cazorla in July, you must check out the Blues Cazorla festival that is held in the town every year.
