Known worldwide as the city built on water, given its construction on 100 lagoon islands, Venice is one of the most popular Italian destinations for global tourism. It can be defined as an open-air museum, thanks to its numerous historical and artistic testimonies preserved and represented by its many churches, palaces, and museums. Walking through Venice is like taking a dive into the past; the so-called "calli" (streets) are dotted and framed by aristocratic buildings such as the Doge's Palace, the historic residence of the Doges, spectacular bridges including the famous Rialto Bridge, and canals navigable by gondolas, vaporettos, and boats of all kinds. The heart of the city is its enchanting St. Mark's Square, which hosts the basilica of the same name and welcomes thousands of tourists from all over the world every day. The most prominent event in the city is undoubtedly Carnival, which attracts the attention of a large portion of world travelers, thanks to its centuries-old tradition of masks and costumes that liven up the streets each year. Finally, an activity not to be missed if you decide to visit this magnificent and evocative location is certainly the famous "Bàcaro Tour," a typical initiative that involves tourists in a tour of Venetian taverns with glasses of local wine and "cicchetti," which are small, tasty appetizers. The accommodation is 2.3 km from Venice Santa Lucia station.

We stayed here for 2 nights. No complaints about the location, which was about 0.4 miles from the San Marco area and a 3-4 minute walk to the F.te Nove water ferry stop. If you plan to walk from the train station it’s just under a 30 minute walk with multiple stairways/bridges. The communication and...
