You will find all the information regarding your booking within the Wonderful Italy Guest Area. Cisternino is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
Nestled in the Itria Valley, it is rich in *trulli* and boasts a renowned historic center.
The most significant historical buildings are the Norman-Svevo Tower and the Church of San Nicola, known as the Mother Church, both imposing structures in the central square.
The whitewashed houses, narrow alleys and courtyards, and typical flowered balconies are very picturesque.
Together with a plate of the typical grilled *bombette* and a glass of local wine, they reinforce the sense of belonging to the community. These are places where time seems to have stood still and where it is still possible to enjoy the authenticity of yesteryear. The countryside around Cisternino extends into the heart of the Itria Valley.
A few kilometers away are Ceglie Messapica, a center of tradition and gastronomy; Ostuni, a town known worldwide as the "White City"; and Alberobello, whose famous *trulli* have been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1996. About 25 km to the north, we find the Archaeological Park of Egnazia, Monopoli, and Polignano a Mare, ancient fishing villages with charming historic centers.
To the north (70 km) is Bari, the gateway to the East, while heading south, we first encounter the Torre Guaceto nature reserve, then Brindisi, and finally Lecce, the capital of Baroque.
Moving west is Taranto, the heart of Magna Graecia, and finally Matera, characterized by its Sassi and a European Capital of Culture in 2019. Bari Karol Wojtyla International Airport is about a 50-minute drive away, while Brindisi Airport is approximately 90 km away.
