Down-to-earth and traditional
Family-run year-round business in the center of Admont with 6 double rooms (can accommodate 3 people). All rooms are equipped with shower/WC, satellite TV, WiFi, and telephone.
In this inn, you are in the sixth oldest building in Admont, dating back to 1471, when it was first mentioned.
It's a house with tradition, and the cuisine is also focused on home-style cooking. The beer garden at Zeiser's is as much a part of the house as a good frothy head is to a seven-minute beer.
Sitting under the old chestnut tree and letting the day fade away is simply cozy and rejuvenating. The family business run by Peter and Birgit Zeiser is known for one thing in particular: the Styrian Farmers' Buffet every Wednesday in July and August and on various occasions.
Backhendl (fried chicken), Gselchtes (smoked meat), Schweinsbraten (roast pork), Blutwurstgröstl (blood sausage hash), sauerkraut, and pumpkin vegetables are all part of the buffet.
The desserts are also not to be missed.
Host Peter often indulges in these, laughing, "As a butcher, you like to eat dessert." He adds, "My favorite is Günter's ice cream anyway." They found each other.
Mr. Planitzer gets Zeiser's beloved blood sausage hash, and Peter, in return, gets a chunk of marzipan.
How convenient, this neighborly relationship! Friendship and Partnership Another hit at Zeiser's is the "Stoa-Essen" (stone meal) for six people or more, where you can showcase your grilling skills thanks to the hot stone at the table.
Peter and Birgit maintain a good connection with ex-Admonter Narat-Zitz from Leitschach for wine. narat-zitz.at And recently, Peter has also embraced the National Park Partnership.
Nationalpark Gesäuse. The network is now called "Gesäuse-Partner." It is based on the shared values of the Gesäuse National Park and the Styrian Eisenwurzen Nature Park.
The overarching brand is Gesäuse. Many partners are good friends, and the idea of not wanting to be "left behind" prompted the candidacy.
It's easy at Zeiser's to always be up-to-date with National Park brochures, as a quick hop across the street provides quick replenishment from the info office. Pets €4.00 per day Free storage for bicycles and motorcycles Check-in from 2:00 PM and check-out by 10:00 AM

From verified guest, Sept 2020
