The OVO Network team’s opinion - Grand Mazot La Chandelle is a beautifully-renovated farm building in Bionnassay, a small hamlet above the busy resort of Saint-Gervais (8km), but you'll feel as if you're in the middle of nowhere and yet, you’ll be just 15 minutes from the slopes!
The mazot sleeps up to four guests, with one bedroom and a shower room.
It's rare to find such well-appointed properties for small groups, especially detached ones! The ground floor has a dining room, a well-equipped kitchen with a washing machine, a shower room with WC and a seating area with a sofa and chairs.
There's no television in the mazot but there is wifi, and the owners have provided a selection of board games. Upstairs, there's a delightful bedroom under the eaves, with a large double bed and two single beds.
Head height is restricted, but the abundance of beams and the windows with heart-shaped shutters make this a very cosy space. Outside, there's a table with bench seating where you can enjoy a drink or a meal in front of the stunning mountain views. Groups can book the Grand Mazot La Chandelle with Chalet La Chandelle (12) and/or the Petit Mazot La Chandelle (2 guests), giving a total capacity of up to 18 guests. Free wifi, cleaning, towels & linen included. Pets are welcome (1 max) and must be supervised.
Any additional cleaning or damages caused may be covered by the security deposit.
Access: 200 meters from the main road via a paved road.
In winter, the road is cleared daily, but snow tyres and chains are required to access the chalet, in accordance with the Mountain Law from November 1 to March 31. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended in case of heavy snowfall.
Parking is available 200m from the mazot.
The mazot is a charming converted outbuilding with a cozy layout.
The bedroom features a low ceiling and comfortable low beds, and the compact kitchen is efficiently designed (no dishwasher). Parties are not allowed. The owner requires a €1,000 damage and excess cleaning guarantee to be set up before arrival.
No funds are taken or blocked on your card.
Your card details are securely held for up to 14 days after departure.

Un mazot de rêve dans un environnement enchanteur. Equipements, propreté et accueil de Clément irréprochables. Idéal pour quelques jours de déconnexion face au mont Blanc, mais aussi un parfait camp de base pour les nombreuses randonnées à faire tout autour.
