In the heart of the Basque Country (Soule mountains), rich in culture and traditions, discover this renovated gîte in a house with architecture typical of this region (dating from 1788).
The rental is on the ground floor of the owners' house.
The property comprises 29 hectares of farmland (vineyards, woods, meadows). FARM GUEST COTTAGE (sheep, cows, hens, chickens, ducks, guinea fowl, Irouleguy vineyards, vegetable garden). Direct sale of farm products on site. Your pet is welcome, but please keep an eye on it: the family's two cats may visit. 9 km from Mauléon (Basque Province of Soule / capital of the espadrille). View of the Pyrenees mountain range (Pic d'Anie - Pic du Midi d'Ossau). Gîte sleeps 4/5 people on the ground floor, accessed by 3 steps. - Fully equipped kitchen opening onto the courtyard (dishwasher for 6 place settings, fridge-freezer, oven and microwave, 3 gas burners and 1 electric hob). - Living room with lounge area (Godin wood-burning stove, TV). - 1 bedroom (1 double bed). Shower room (walk-in shower, washbasin, toilet). - 1 bedroom (1 queen bed and 1 single sofa bed) with en-suite bathroom (bathtub, washbasin, separate toilet). LINEN AND TOWELS PROVIDED.
HEATING INCLUDED (electricity and wood). Washing machine in a shared utility room with the owner, in an outbuilding. Independent access (gate) and private enclosed courtyard. Garden furniture, barbecue, bicycle storage.

Minimum 3-night weekend stay outside of summer. Nearby activities include walks and hikes, rafting, Basque pelota, a local produce market, the Holzarté footbridge, and the Verna hall. Located at the central crossroads of the department, Béarn and the Basque Country await discovery.

Accueil très chaleureux. Charmantes petites attentions à notre arrivée : gâteau, tomates et pèches. Tout le confort nécessaire. Les conseils de Marie Pierre pour nous faire découvrir sa jolie région. Sa gentillesse ainsi que celle de son mari. C'était parfait.

séjour très agréable dans un cadre reposant. Nous avons fait de belles ballades et des visites qui resterons dans nos mémoires surtout la grotte de la Verna. Marie Pierre, l’hôtesse du gîte, nous a gâté par sa gentillesse et sa bienveillance. Rien ne manquait au gite.
