This stylish first-floor apartment with panoramic lake views, sleeps 5 people in comfort. Nestling on the hillside above Lake Lugano, and just 5 minutes from the centre of the city, the apartment is the perfect base for a fabulous holiday in this beautiful region.
The spacious contemporary living/dining room has large windows overlooking the lake and the mountains beyond. The décor is chic and modern, with two glass doors leading out onto a private balcony, where guests can enjoy sundowners. Back inside, there is a cosy corner sofa next to a modern brick fireplace and a flat-screen TV. On the other side of the room there is an elegant dining table for 5 people.
The separate kitchen is full of light and just off the dining area. is beautifully-equipped with everything you might need. There is a cooker hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and a coffee machine.
Sleeping
Bedroom 1: The spectacular master bedroom is furnished with a modern double bed, combined with an antique wardrobe, an elegant sofa, a large framed mirror and a balcony shared with the 2nd bedroom which looks out over the lake.
Bedroom 2: This airy bedroom has 2 single beds, a wardrobe and a door onto the balcony.
Bedroom 3: Another light-filled bedroom with lake views. This room has a single bed and a lap-top friendly workspace.

Bathroom: The attractive bathroom is equipped with a full bath with a showerhead, separate shower, bidet, basin and WC

Location
The apartment is in an excellent location. Just a few hundred metres from the lake shore and a 15 minute walk from the centre of Lugano. On the border of Switzerland and Italy, the city of Lugano is famous for its stunning location, rich cultural heritage and excellent restaurants and cafés. The city hosts many festivals throughout the year, including the “Luganomusica” festival every summer.
For self-catering, the Lugano farmers’ market (Tuesdays and Fridays) in Via Carducci (7-minute drive) is the place to go to pick up the best ingredients. Otherwise, there are a wide range of supermarkets nearby.
The lovely town of Gandria (4 minute drive) which is towards the Italian border makes a great day out. Visitors can wander through the village’s winding streets or hike along the Sentiero Dell’Olivo. For more beautiful hiking routes, guests can cross over into Italy and enjoy the unspoiled forests and hills of Valsolda (25 minutes).
The closest international airports are in Italy - Milan Malpensa 1 hour, 10 minutes by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 36-minute journey.
