Hidden in the green polders of Zuid-Beveland is the village of Baarland. It is a small village but a popular holiday destination. The large Scheldeoord campsite on the edge of the village attracts many people to the area every year.

Just over the dike is the small beach of Baarland. In summer, this beach is also popular with locals. From your towel, you can look out over the entire Westerschelde estuary. At Brasserie de Landing, you can enjoy delicious meals with the same view. Baarland has a small railway station, which used to be on the Goes - Hoedenkenskerke tram line. Nowadays, the Goes Borsele steam train still uses it. With the steam train, you can take a day trip between Goes and Hoedekenskerke in a historic train. The museum train stops in several villages along the route.
