Capel Swn y Mor is a stunning conversion of a Victorian chapel set right on the seafront at Amroth with the beach across the road and magnificent views over the beach and Carmarthen Bay.
A flight of steps lead up to the entrance, step into the tiled light and airy open plan living space furnished in a contemporary, yet comfortable style. Enjoy meals or relax on the leather sofas while you look out to sea. The original, tall arched windows have been restored to really maximise the view, French doors lead out to a balcony where you can dine al fresco while you gaze out to sea or watch the children play on the beach below.
Open tread stairs lead up to the galleried landing, bedrooms and bathroom above with restored original beams and wooden floors adding to the character, the 2 double bedrooms both have stunning views overlooking the water, enjoy leisurely lie-ins, when the tide is in it feels almost like you could be at sea. If you can bear to leave the balcony there is a selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants within walking distance and a seasonal shop along the seafront in Amroth.
Join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path on your doorstep to explore this beautiful coastline, over the headland lies Wiseman’s Bridge where you can enjoy a meal at the beachside pub before the journey home or a little further on through the tunnels, Coppet Hall, and the highly recommended Coast Restaurant and Saundersfoot’s bustling seaside village, with a good selection of pubs, restaurants and shops, take a fishing trip from here or continue onto the historical town of Tenby. A visit to Colby Woodland Gardens nearby should not be missed, particularly enjoying the colourful displays of Rhododendrons, Azaleas and woodland walks. To the east lies the rest of the sandy Amroth Beach leading to Marros Sands. The miles and miles of sandy beaches make this the perfect spot for boating and water sports enthusiasts.
A wonderful holiday home that you will just not want to leave and is sure to become a firm favourite.
NB. There is limited/occasional access via the stairs to the side of the property to the small, disused burial ground at the rear by those connected to the memorials. This does form part of the grounds of Capel Swn y Mor and you are welcome to access it, climb the steps to the top and the view is breathtaking.
