This attractive holiday farm is located on the 'Het Reestdal' estate.
The nostalgic atmosphere is clearly expressed by the thatched roof.
A cozy pallet stove (a type of wood stove) provides cozy warmth in the farmhouse.
Enjoying the peace and nature (walking, cycling) are the big pluses.
Forest walls, forests, meadows and heathlands alternate.
The border river 'De Reest' meanders through this protected landscape. The farmhouse is equipped with all conveniences: a dishwasher, filter coffee maker, combi microwave oven, internet, a shed (for your bicycles), a very spacious garden, two terraces and comfortable garden chairs.
On the ground floor there is a spacious living room, open-plan kitchen, a bathroom, a separate toilet and a spacious double bedroom with Auping beds.
Upstairs you will find two nostalgic bedsteads: one suitable for two adults and one suitable for two children. The farmhouse is in a leafy spot with unobstructed views of the forest.
In the surrounding area you will find numerous places of interest, such as: Staphorst (with its traditional costumes), the Zwarte Dennen (swimming, hiking and cycling), Giethoorn (little Venice), the nature reserve ‘De Weerribben’(also for skating) and Oud Avereest (fantastic hiking area). Particularities • The minimum age of the main booker for this holiday home is 18 years. • A new kitchen has recently been installed in this holiday home and the bedrooms have been fitted with new vinyl flooring. Please bring the following items with you for this holiday home: • Towels Park facilities Surroundings IJhorst is a village in the municipality of Staphorst, where the stork is a familiar sight.
The Ooievaarscentrum De Lokkerij was established in 1981 on the initiative of the Nature Conservancy to bring the stork back to the Dutch landscape.
With results: the number of breeding pairs is still increasing! De Lokkerij is open for visits during the summer months, definitely worth a visit.
The surroundings are easy to explore by bike or on foot: you will discover the Reest valley, the Zwarte Dennen or the Staphorst forestry.
Surrounding towns such as Zwolle, Meppel, Hoogeveen and Steenwijk are also recommended: here you can enjoy a terrace, a museum, the many shops or a cosy restaurant.

Het is een fantastisch boerderijtje. Het is heel gezellig ingericht en zeer goed onderhouden. En verder was het ook heel schoon en proper. Er staat een pelletkachel in de woonkamer die we iedere dag hebben gebrand. Super was dat! We komen graag zo snel mogelijk weer terug!

Dit is met recht een heerlijk huisje. Van alle gemakken voorzien. Vooral de pelletkachel geeft een warme sfeer in het huisje. Ideale uitvalbasis voor wandelen en fietsen. Pluspunt is ook dat je via de achtertuin de hond gelijk uit kan laten. Ideaal. Kortom wij hebben genoten.
