Tiny houseboat with roof terrace and cozy wood stove built on site in 2023 with ecological and local building materials.

You can reach the 5 square meter sleeping area via a ladder.
Meike and Bernd are the owners of this houseboat, on whose behalf we built it and are now renting it out. "Undine" is of Old High German or Latin origin and means "wave", it is also the name of a semi-divine water spirit or mermaid from mythology - the name says it all, because you are very close to the water on a houseboat vacation.
The mattress on the top sleeping level is a nice 1.60 m wide, and the sofa bed downstairs in the living area can also be folded out to 1.60 m. It also has a "relax" position so that you can comfortably put your feet up in the evening and look out over the water through floor-to-ceiling windows.
There is a small seating area inside and one outside on the breakfast terrace, and on the roof terrace you will also find two great rocking deckchairs and enjoy a good view.
High-quality cupboards provide storage space.
The kitchenette has everything you need for easy cooking: Sink, 2-plate induction stove, fridge, portafilter coffee machine (but also a French press for making coffee), crockery etc. The bathroom has a full-size shower and a water closet, which is hardly any different from the normal toilet at home.
The floor-to-ceiling windows allow you to look out over the water and enjoy the front-row berth.
Both underfloor heating and a fireplace keep the boat, which is well insulated with wood wool, cozy and warm on cold days.
Our houseboats are moored in the Diamantgraben, a short branch of the Elbe in the south of Hamburg.
When the weather is fine, a pleasure boat or canoe will pass by and the odd water bird can also be spotted.
On this tiny houseboat, you can let the sun shine on your belly, have deep conversations on balmy summer evenings, enjoy being in silence, pop champagne corks while laughing - simply experience something completely different, a special vacation, a little break from everyday life.
You can also go swimming right on site.

Der Blick von den bodentiefen Fenstern direkt aufs Wasser. Morgens wird man von Enten begrüßt. Die Dachterrasse war auch mega!
NewEs war perfekt. Ein super tolles Erlebnis auchfür die Kinder.

Das Ambiente ist traumhaft. Für uns ist es klar, dass wir nächstes Mal wieder ein Hausboot mieten werden, wenn wir nach Hamburg kommen.
Mit dem ÖV (spricht mit dem Bus ab Bahnhof) kamen wir nicht wirklich zurecht. Wir sind keine Stadtmenschen und sind uns überhaupt nicht gewohnt mit dem ÖV unterwegs zu sein. Für uns war es am Einfachsten mit der Regiobahn zu Fahren und dann zu Fuss zum Hausboot. Die 15-20 Minuten zu Fuss war für uns kein Problem.

Ausstattung und Einrichtungen sind sehr gut. Vorabinformationen sowie Abwicklung und Gebrauchsanweisungen sind ebenfalls sehr gut.
Wenn man den Schwerpunkt auf City Sightseeing in Hamburg setzt, ist die Lage nicht zu empfehlen, da es sehr umständlich ist, mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln in die Stadt zu kommen. Per Taxi zahlt man pro Fahrt 45 Euro. In unmittelbarer Nähe des Liegeplatzes fahren Züge sowie der öffentliche Nahverkehr über eine Brücke, was enormen Lärm im Minutentakt verursacht. Von Ruhe also keine Spur.
