It was in this house that Rosaura Rodriguez lived, a refugee from the Spanish Civil War.
She was born in 1901 in Bouzadrago, Entrimo, Galicia.During the Spanish conflict, Castro Laboreiro received dozens of refugees.
Rosaura was arrested for the first time in 1936 by Spanish riflemen for smuggling and solidarity with the fugitives.
She ended up being arrested several times.She was the sentimental companion of José Rodriguez Páramo, a member of the anti-Franco guerrilla group set up in Castro Laboreiro by the famous Asturian communist Manolo Dente de Ouro.Arrested on 26 August 1943 for collaborating with the armed resistance, she arrived in Ourense on 28 September 1943.
She was released by the Council of War on 19 December 1944.She lived in this house until her death in 1987.The Calcanheiras family, who still own the house today, donated the land and some local neighbours helped with the construction.It's a house that tells stories in a cosy and intimate atmosphere.

Tivemos uma experiência espetacular com a Azevim Nature, obrigada à Sofia pelo tão caloroso acolhimento e por todos os mimos que nos deixaram, melhor do que esperavamos! A casa tinha uma decoração muito bonita e tem tudo o que é necessário para fazer as refeições!

Espaço acolhedor, agradável, muito bem localizado. A recepção feita pelo sr José foi muito simpática e muito informal, além do facto de ter disponibilizado o espaço por mais tempo. No entanto achei o espaço durante a noite muito frio. Recomendo um ar condicionado no espaço.

La casa es muy acogedora, estaba todo muy limpio y ordenado. Sofía fue muy atenta, se preocupa por la comodidad del cliente, resolvió todas las dudas al instante. La zona es espectacular, un paraíso terrenal. Tranquilidad, sosiego, lugar idílico para descansar y desconectar del ajetreo de la vida diaria.
