A steep, narrow staircase from the kitchen leads upstairs to the two bedrooms.

The house can be heated at any time.
In the garden, there is a covered seating area with garden furniture and a barbecue.
You can also find a nice spot on the large lawn and relax on the sun loungers.
The garden pond is approximately 3 by 4 meters and 1.8 meters deep.
As it is not fenced, please be mindful of small children! Bicycles brought along can be stored securely.
You can park your car on the property. Location: The holiday home is situated in a very quiet location on a 3000 m² fenced property, on the outskirts of the Spreewald municipality of Straupitz.
It is an annex to a separately standing outbuilding, next to the landlords' house, which contains a summer kitchen, a small workshop, and the garage.
The beautifully landscaped garden with its garden pond and cozy seating area, as well as the large lawn for playing and relaxing, offers the perfect setting for a quiet, restful holiday.
From the property, you can see the Dutch windmill in the distance.
The property is also home to two kittens, a few chickens in an enclosure, some goldfish in the pond, and the mixed-breed dog "Tina," who is very happy to see guests and enjoys a good petting.
The holiday apartment is located just 1000 meters from the waterway and the punt ferry port, and 4000 meters from the swimming area at Lake Byhlen.
In Straupitz, you will find a bakery, a good restaurant, and a supermarket within 700 meters.
The town also has bank branches, a pharmacy, and doctors.
Along the Culture Mile in Straupitz, you can visit the "Old Granary," the "Schinkel Church," and the "Dutch Mill." On "Straupitzer Friday," you can enjoy theatre, concerts, lectures, or cabarets at Straupitz Castle.
The Schinkel Church also hosts concerts.
Anyone vacationing in the Spreewald should definitely take a punt boat tour.
These tours are offered right at the harbor in Straupitz, just behind the "Old Granary." You can, of course, also embark on your own boat tours with canoes or kayaks.
Boat rentals are available in places like Burg and Lübben.
Large swimming lakes include Mochowsee, 6 km away, and Briesensee, 10 km away.
Tennis enthusiasts can try their hand at the privately run tennis court, located 500 meters away, or play professionally.
Racquets and shoes can be rented there.
Straupitz is a municipality located in the heart of the legendary Spreewald, by the Hochwald forest.
From summer through autumn, the forests are full of mushrooms.
The unique character of the Spreewald, with its fascinating nature, traditional costumes, and folk customs, has been renowned far beyond its borders for a long time.
Theodor Fontane himself visited the Spreewald in 1859 and compared it to the magic of Venice, calling the punt boatman a "Spreewald gondolier." You too can experience this magic.
Where the Spree River divides into numerous branches, streams, and tributaries, an incomparable landscape of meadows and forests has emerged.
During your walks, bike tours, boat trips, wagon rides, and especially punt boat tours, you will experience the beauty and tranquility of this nature reserve and can recharge your batteries.
Discover the ancient trees of the Hochwald, the many rare animals found there, traditional regional products, and the charming Spreewald houses with their crossed snakes on the roof, along the waterways.
The people are friendly and will tell you much about the region.
Participate in traditional festivals and admire the historic costumes.
If the weather is bad, treat yourself at the "Spreewald Therme" in the resort town of Burg, or go for a swim at "Tropical Island," located just 30 km away.
You can shop, stroll, and sightsee in larger towns like Lübben, Burg, and Lübbenau.
Berlin is also only 80 km away, and Dresden 130 km.
These two major cities, with their vast array of cultural offerings, can be quickly reached via the autobahn in about 90 minutes and are well worth a day trip. The garden pond is approximately 3 by 4 meters and 1.8 meters deep.
As it is not fenced, please be mindful of small children! If needed, you may use the landlords' washing machine.
