Our holiday home is located in the heart of the Saarschleifenland.
The Saarschleifenland is particularly known for the Saarschleife, an impressive river bend of the Saar near Mettlach.
The landscape in this region is characterised by forests, hills, apple orchards, and vineyards.
Hiking trails with spectacular viewpoints, cycle paths along the Saar, and boat and canoe trips on the Saar are increasingly attracting nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts to the region.
It is also a popular destination for wellness and health tourism, with several spa towns and thermal baths offering opportunities for pampering and relaxation. Modern Holiday Apartments Await You Our holiday home opened in 2022.
In 5 individually and luxuriously furnished holiday apartments and 1 holiday house, couples, families, or groups of up to 8 people will find space.
Dogs are welcome; a dog shower with warm water and drying towels is available for them.
Each apartment is complemented by a private terrace, a garden, or a balcony.
Outdoor furniture, loungers and chairs with cushions, a parasol, and a charcoal grill are available for the outdoor area.
A charging station powered by the photovoltaic system is available for electric vehicles.

Our Wellness Barn houses a saltwater pool measuring 8m x 3.75m with a depth of 1.55m, heated year-round to 28 degrees Celsius.
It also features a large sauna for up to 10 people, a shower with a cascade and Kneipp hose, and a beautiful relaxation room for colder days. Hot Tub for up to 8 People Outside the Wellness Barn, there is a covered, south-facing hot tub with air and massage jets for up to 8 people, surrounded by a large garden lounge area for rest and relaxation. The remaining payment is due two weeks before arrival by bank transfer.
Cancellations up to 14 days before arrival are free of charge.
Cancellations between 14 and 4 days before arrival will be charged at 50% of the total price.
For later cancellations, we charge 75% of the total price.
Check-in is possible from 3 PM to midnight.
Check-out is required by 11 AM.
Other check-in and check-out times are possible by arrangement.
Key handover is contactless via a key box.
Pets are allowed for a fee of €30 for the Gätschenberger holiday house. Holiday Apartments with Spa Resort The centre of the holiday complex is the large guesthouse, offering 5 individually furnished holiday apartments.
Another apartment is located in the Gätschenberger holiday house, which is in the immediate vicinity of the guesthouse and spa resort.
The holiday complex also includes the 750 sqm spa resort.
It consists of a wellness barn housing a swimming pool, a Finnish sauna, and a relaxation room.
Additionally, there is a covered hot tub and a sunbathing lawn for relaxation. Directions The key box for your Gätschenberger holiday house is located at the main house in the open space under the left balcony.
The code to open it is 1460.
Enter this code and confirm with "A".
Inside the "Gätschenberger" box, you will find the transponder for the door.
You now need to hold it to the lock of your door (Markusstraße 7).
It will flash green twice, then turn briefly, and the door will open.

The luxuriously furnished holiday house has been newly renovated and put into operation in June 2023.
The outdoor area is currently still under construction.
It offers around 115 sqm of space over 2 floors.
The ground floor comprises 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower, a guest toilet, a utility room, and a staircase.
The upper floor features a 36 sqm living-dining area with a large kitchen.
Furthermore, the upper floor has another bedroom.
From the hallway, you have direct access to the large bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower that also includes a seating area.
The toilet and large vanity unit leave nothing to be desired. Equipment of the Holiday House You enter the apartment through a hallway with an old mosaic floor dating back to the turn of the century.
The bright apartment, with high ceilings finished with stucco, is very stylishly furnished.
The apartment has 3 bedrooms with double beds and a very large living room with 2 sofas, armchairs, and stools.
The kitchen is equipped with a ceramic hob, extractor hood, oven, fridge-freezer combination, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, and toaster.
A washing machine, dryer, and sink are available in the apartment's utility room.
A vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board, dog blanket, and dog bowl are naturally part of the apartment's amenities.
A charging station powered by the photovoltaic system is available for electric vehicles.
