Casa Azul is the accommodation unit on the left-hand side of Finca Pino Gordo, is 42 m² in size and is a generously proportioned one-room flat that is also flooded with light. The furniture is made of light-coloured natural solid wood and the country house curtains are blue-beige with delicate green.
A wide window front with large sliding glass doors make the room full of light and when the sliding doors are fully opened, the flat merges almost seamlessly into the long, large balcony.
For sun protection there are long curtains and external sliding doors with louvres.
The sleeping area consists of a double bed with two 80 cm wide mattresses.
The open wooden kitchen is extended by a large, round glass table with four chairs. In this kitchen there is only a small hob unit with two electric plates, but there is no lack of kitchen utensils
The bathroom with toilet and window has a shower with bench. There is a set of toiletries ready to welcome you
In this accommodation unit there is electric heating for cold evenings, or alternatively a large rollable gas heater. As in the other casas, the floor is tiled.
There is a three-seater sofa at the window, which can be pulled out to sleep a third person if required.
TV, radio and CD player are available, as well as books and games.
The balcony is furnished with sun loungers and a dining table with four chairs.
A fruit basket, a bottle of sparkling wine and a few treats as well as fresh flowers are provided as a welcome gift.
A starter set is available with: Ground coffee, filter papers, sugar, salt and pepper, vinegar and oil.
From the communal pool there is a magnificent view of the Atlantic Ocean , the rising sun and the surrounding gentle nature.
For barbecue lovers there is a large stone barbecue available, the pool is not fenced and there is no supervision. Parents are responsible for their children here.
There are sun loungers with cushions by the pool, there is a large marble table with chairs by the barbecue for perfect barbecue evenings.
Casa Azul is a true paradise and the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. The upper orchard invites you to harvest the fruit at appropriate times.
The breathtaking coastal and sea views as well as forest, barranco and mountain views on the other side make the finca a special place for hikers, nature lovers, climbers and/or those seeking relaxation who prefer a special ambience.
The Casa Azul is a strictly non-smoking accommodation. Smoking is allowed outside the Casa, please do not dispose of cigarette butts in the landscape.
We are a dog-friendly accommodation and dogs are allowed to move freely in the area as long as they do not disturb any fellow residents. It goes without saying that dogs are not allowed in the pool.
A high chair is available free of charge for small children.
The upper orchard can be harvested for daily use according to need and ripeness.

The finca was once a small rural farm with fruit, wine and vegetable cultivation at an altitude of 490 metres above the small village of La Sabinita in the south-east of the island of Tenerife.
The grounds have been left in their original form. Today's orchard was also once a fruit and wine-growing area.
There was a small farmhouse where the three casas now stand and vegetables were grown in today's lower pool garden.
At today's entrance area of the finca stands the eponym of the finca, the very old and protected Pino Gordo.
The paths and dry stone walls were built in the typical island style and from materials typical of the landscape. This has preserved the rustic character of the entire property.

The very special tip in the wonderful summer time on our finca:
On 13 August, provided there is a new moon and no clouds, you can experience one of the most exciting wonders of nature. Around 2 o'clock at night it rains stars. The Perseid shower is a shower of shooting stars and you can experience it more or less all over the world on this night, provided there is a new moon and absolute darkness.
Our Finca Pino Gordo is the real place to experience this natural wonder, because it is away from the action and in the dark. If you look up at the sky at around 2 o'clock at night, you can see the Milky Way opening up and the Perseids raining down.

The finca is just 2.3 kilometres from the town of Arico Viejo. There you will find shops, a petrol station, medical centre, pharmacy and restaurants with a typical local atmosphere. Abades, with its beautiful sandy beach and a diving school, is 11 km away, as is El Poris by the sea.

Around the small village of ARICO, climbers will find a variety of climbing walls and gorges. The Casas Finca Pino Gordo are particularly attractive for climbers of all levels, as there are two famous and challenging climbing areas and gorges with heights of up to 35 metres just a few kilometres away.

El Medano is about a 30-minute drive from Finca Pino Gordo and is home to the island's largest surfing paradise with an international audience. Many world championships have been held here. El Medano is a lively holiday resort and has flat, beautiful sandy beaches and there is almost always a strong wind blowing. Surf schools are lined up here.

In the small holiday resort of Abades, just down the road from Finca Pino Gordo on the Atlantic Ocean, there is a supermarket, a few restaurants and otherwise the town has a beautiful sandy beach, restaurants and bars.

Here is a very popular dive site in a sheltered bay with long reefs, approx. 6-20 metres deep and small caves. In the shallower water, you can even observe turtles in the seagrass meadows.

Two diving schools and three shops with diving equipment offer the opportunity to expand your diving hobby and become a professional.

The municipality of Arico also has a huge network of popular hiking and circular trails, in all levels of difficulty and for all ages.
The guided "Around Arico" activities such as racing bike tours, quad bike tours, running tours, mountain bike tours are also becoming increasingly popular.

Heatable casa (holiday cottage), either with rollable gas heating or electric heating.
In the winter months, evening heating may be necessary. Extra costs of 10 euros per flat per week. The heating is to be booked and paid for on site, depending on the weather conditions.
This accommodation unit is furnished in country house style with furniture made of solid natural wood. There is a fully equipped, semi-open kitchen to the dining area with mini oven, 2-plate electric hob, fridge and all the kitchen appliances you need. German filter coffee machine, toaster, kettle, mixer available. Also enough cooking pots and pans.
The living area has a pull-out couch, TV table. A large round glass table with 4 chairs is located near the open-plan kitchen. In the back corner of the large one-room flat there is a twin bed with two mattresses of 80 cm x 200 cm, a large built-in wardrobe, bedside tables and a long chest of drawers as a room divider.
The terrace is large enough for a dining table with four chairs, sun loungers and parasol.

The pool garden and barbecue as well as the chill-out areas are shared by all three casas.

A third person with sleeping area on the pull-out couch is free of charge. Dogs also free of charge.
Safe parking on the finca grounds is free of charge.
WIFI (free of charge) in all three casas with private access.
Use of washing machine plus dryer once per stay free of charge.
Dogs free of charge, please do not enter the pool and please dispose of excrement.
The finca is closed by an electric sliding gate, please always close after entering.

Note: The finca is rather unsuitable for small children, there is a steeper staircase and an unguarded pool. The entire property is not fenced and is surrounded on one side by a barranco.
