Casa Natural is the middle residential unit of the three small Casas on the rural finca Pino Gordo.
The finca is located above the small village of La Sabinita, at a medium altitude in a magnificent rural landscape, away from mass tourism.
You can expect a fully equipped, cozy, and newly renovated apartment with a spacious living area, a semi-open kitchen, and a dining nook.
The furnishings are in a modern country house style with delicate earth tones, and the floors are tiled throughout.
A corner sofa with a pull-out function for a third guest, a TV area with side display cabinets, and a large dining table with a bench and armchair by the window complete the ambiance.
For cozy evenings, there are books, games, and a stereo system.
For colder evenings, warmth is provided by a mobile gas heater or an old cast-iron wood stove.
The semi-open kitchenette is equipped with a kettle and coffee machine, blender, baking utensils, toaster, and plenty of dishes and glasses.
Guests are welcomed with a fruit basket, a bottle of sparkling wine, and sweets.
Furthermore, a starter set is available with vinegar and oil, salt and pepper, sugar, coffee grounds, and coffee filters.
Through the wide glass sliding doors, you can access the large balcony, which offers a magnificent view of the surrounding landscape and the Atlantic Ocean and is equipped with a dining table with four chairs, two sun loungers with cushions, and a parasol.
The cozy bedroom has a 180 cm wide double bed with two mattresses, romantic lighting, and offers ample space for clothes and laundry in the large built-in wardrobe.
The bedroom has a window with blackout curtains.
The bathroom is a shower room with a window and toilet, as well as a large mirror.
A set of toiletries is available upon arrival.
Bed linen, towels, kitchen towels, and dishcloths are provided and made available weekly in a basket for exchange.
A washing machine and a dryer are also available in the external laundry room, as well as an iron and ironing board.
The chill-out area, where the communal pool is also located, features a large stone barbecue.
Please note that the pool is neither fenced nor supervised; parents are responsible for their children.
Sun loungers with cushions are available by the pool, and there is a large marble table with chairs by the barbecue.
The breathtaking coastal and sea views, as well as forest, barranco, and mountain views on the other side, make the finca a special place for hikers, nature lovers, climbers, and also those seeking relaxation who prefer a special ambiance.
Casa Natural is a strictly non-smoking accommodation.
Smoking is permitted outside the Casa; please do not dispose of cigarette butts in the landscape.
We are a dog-friendly accommodation, and dogs are allowed to move freely on the grounds as long as they do not disturb other residents.
We consider a no-dogs-in-the-pool policy to be self-evident.
The finca was formerly a small rural agricultural operation with fruit, wine, and vegetable cultivation at an altitude of 490 meters above the small village of La Sabinita in the southeast of Tenerife Island.
The terrain has been left in its original formation.
The current orchard was also previously an area for fruit and wine cultivation.
Where the three Casas stand today, there was a small utility building, and in the lower area, which is now the pool garden, vegetables were grown.
At the current entrance to the finca stands the namesake of the finca, the very old and protected Pino Gordo.
The paths and dry stone walls were constructed in the typical island style and using materials typical of the landscape.
This has preserved the rustic character of the entire property.
A very special tip during the wonderful summer season on our finca: Always around August 13th, provided it is a new moon and cloudless, you can experience one of nature's most exciting wonders.
Around 2 AM, it rains stars.
The Perseid meteor shower is a shooting star shower that can be experienced more or less all over the world on this night, provided there is a new moon and absolute darkness.
Tenerife's National Park is one of the most popular places to experience this spectacle.
Our Finca Pino Gordo is the real place to experience this natural wonder, as it is located away from the hustle and bustle and in darkness.
Those who set up a lounger in the orchard around 2 AM and look at the sky can experience the Milky Way opening up and the Perseids raining down.
And in between, always meteorites, which are easily located.
I have personally experienced this spectacle several times and felt like I was the little match girl from the story, just needing to catch the falling stars in an apron.
In fact, the stars often burn out only at ground level.
The finca is only 2.3 km from the village of Arico Viejo.
There are shops, a gas station, a medical center, a pharmacy, and restaurants in the local style.
Abades is 11 km away by the sea, with its beautiful sandy beach and a diving school.
El Poris is also 11 km away by the sea.
Around the small village of ARICO, sports climbers will find a variety of climbing walls and canyons.
For climbers of all levels, the Casas Finca Pino Gordo are particularly attractive, as only a few kilometers away there are two famous and challenging climbing areas and canyons up to 35 meters high: the Barranco de Ortiz canyon for bouldering fans, and the Barranco de El Río canyon made of ignimbrite rock.
For climbing fans: Ocho climbing school El Poris Climbing Area Arico Arriba/Abajo Tenerife Climber Lodge El Médano is about a 30-minute drive from Finca Pino Gordo, and it is home to the island's largest surfing paradise with an international crowd.
Many world championships have been held here.
El Médano is a lively holiday resort with beautiful flat sandy beaches and almost always strong winds.
