The village is surrounded by forest and offers some wonderful hiking through the trees with spectacular lake views. Stresa enjoys many Belle Époque-style buildings and villas, but its’ main attractions are the picturesque Borromean Islands, which are known for their opulent palaces and well-manicured gardens.
The islands can be reached via one of the ferries in the port (a 14-minute drive away). The beautiful Park Villa Pallavicino and two local beaches are a 15-minute drive away and there are two restaurants within a 3-minute' walk from the apartment one of which doubles as a small shop during the summer season. For golfers, Golf Club Alpino di Stresa is a 10-minute drive and Golf Des Iles Borromees is an 8-minute drive.
The nearby Mottarone mountain also provides a popular destination offering panoramic views across the Lake, visitors can take a cable car ride to the summit and enjoy hiking and skiing. The nearest international airport is Milan Malpensa (MXP), approximately a 42-minute drive from the accommodation.
