In the middle of a verdant landscape, Casa das Inverneiras belonged to a 19th century Castro family.
It consisted of a cattle court in the lower part and a residential house in the upper part.
It has been rehabilitated with great comfort and good taste, recovering all its splendor, in a harmonious fusion between comfort and nature, with a diverse fauna and flora, inviting you to spend a few days in full contact with nature in the heart of the Peneda Gerês National Park. Here, you can step back in time and live an unforgettable experience in a region with one of the richest prehistoric heritages in Portugal: cave paintings, dolmens and cists, the castle, bridges, religious buildings, ovens and mills have made up the history over the years. The interpretive trails and the Way of Saint James celebrate the beauty, fauna and flora of the region.

We had a wonderfull time in the nature, close by Casto Laboreire for food and drinks.
There are beautiful walks around and mtb trails to explore the national park. As it is november the weather is not that great, but there is a beautiful fireplace inside to sit around with a glass of wine.
We would definitely coming back here

The hosts embody the true friendliness and hospitality of the people of northern Portugal. They are incredibly attentive to their guests, and you'll feel truly pampered. The houses are very clean and modern. You'll find everything you need, and even much more! Unfortunately, we had a busy schedule and could only stay two nights, there's so much more to discover in this beautiful area!
