It is very easily accessible by public transport, yet situated in a rural environment – hiking trails lead up to 2000 m. The location is ideal for planning excursions in this region, such as the Stübing Open-Air Museum, Lurgrotte cave, Kesselfall waterfall, the state capital Graz, the South Styrian Wine Route, Mautern Zoo, Piber Lipizzaner Stud, among others, or if you simply want to explore the immediate surroundings on a leisurely walk.
Without a car, you can embark on extensive hikes directly from your doorstep. Only 20 km northwest of the Styrian state capital Graz, surrounded by mountains, meadows, and green forests, lies the idyllic Übelbachtal valley.
From freshly baked farmhouse bread to locally brewed mountain beer, from traditional leather trousers to a clay bowling alley – all of this can still be experienced in Übelbach, directly and authentically.
