The village of Camporosso is well connected by various means of transport and is located about 3 km from the sea. It can be reached by train using the Vallecrosia station about 2.5km from the apartment. It can be reached by car by continuing after about 7 km from the Bordighera motorway exit, the A10 motorway. About 300 meters from the apartment we find the bus stop that connects Camporosso with the main towns in the area. It is possible to access the historic center by car from 7.30 to 13 and from 18 to 20. Camporosso is an Italian town in the province of Imperia in Liguria, located on the Riviera dei Fiori between Sanremo and Montecarlo, where it overlooks the sea for a short distance. Camporosso by tradition and history is the first town in the Nervia valley. Camporosso has managed to obtain the Blue Flag consecutively since 2001 and to be included in the Blue Guide of Legambiente. The presence of a naturalistic and faunal oasis, a site of community interest, located at the mouth of the Nervia stream, creates an atmosphere of tranquility which, combined with the free and supervised beach, particularly valued by the municipal administration, offers bathers an ideal place of vacation. Camporosso derives from the Latin Campus Rubeus which can be traced back to the red oleander woods along the banks of the Nervia stream. In the 19th century, the cultivation of olives and the production of olive oil made the economy of the municipality flourish, feeding the income of many Camporosso families. The splendid historic centre, perfectly preserved, allows for a unique experience in an authentic medieval village. The parish church of San Marco Evangelista was built in the 15th century and enlarged in the 18th century. The 19th century bell tower has recently been restored. Inside there are several polyptychs and a wooden statue of San Marco from the 16th century. The Church of San Pietro, dating back to the 11th century, adjacent to the cemetery, is a Romanesque structure with a single nave and a semi-circular apse; the building was later enlarged by adding a new aisle. The Oratorio dei Neri is located at the bottom of Piazza Garibaldi, the main square in the historic center of Camporosso, and is preceded by a wide staircase with a double curved balustrade. Since 1787, the clock of the nearby parish church of San Marco has been placed on the facade.
