A picco sul Mare loosely translates as "directly above the sea". The Italian wording for the bright, friendly holiday flat in the north of Agropolis could not be more beautiful or apt. The terrace looks out towards the Amalfi Coast and seems to float above the sea. This is pure holiday feeling!

ENGLISH VERSION
A picco sul mare, loosely translated as "right above the sea", is a lovely name and perfectly fitting for this bright, friendly holiday flat in the northern part of Agropoli. The terrace faces the Amalfi Coast and seems to float above the sea. That's holiday feeling at its best!
Large panoramic windows face the sea, on the horizon of which the island of Capri appears on clear days; a terrace of approx. 40 square metres covers the entire width of the house and the sea breaks gently under your feet on the Scogliera - the rocky reef below the flat.
A picco sul Mare, like the neighbouring house Casetta sulla Scogliera, is located in a fully fenced private park with only a few houses and private access to a small sandy beach bay. To the south of the bay is the Lungomare of Agropoli with lidi, restaurants, bars and a lovely promenade. The lively old town of Agropolis, majestically enthroned on a rocky plateau, is always within sight.
KLARE LINIEN & MARITIMES AMBIENTE
The spacious holiday flat for up to 4 people has been almost completely renovated. Owner and architect Aurelia focussed on clear lines and created a bright, homely ambience with an unmistakable maritime touch.
In addition to two bedrooms, the flat has a bathroom and a large, inviting eat-in kitchen with a unique panoramic view of the vast, deep blue sea outside the front door. In a separate room behind the kitchen you will find a washing machine and access to a small balcony with an outdoor shower.
From the eat-in kitchen you have access to the furnished sea view terrace, which can be shaded with an awning. Next to the eat-in kitchen is the smaller of the two double bedrooms, which also has access to the terrace. The second double bedroom, which is equipped with fly screens, offers plenty of space and a wonderful view of the medieval coastal watchtower.
180° SEA VIEWS & A SUNSET AT CAPRI
The view from the terrace stretches from Agropoli in the south to the Amalfi Coast and the Gulf of Salerno in the north. It is this special mixture of the constant sound of the sea, the pleasant summer breeze and spectacular sunsets over the sea that will give your holiday in A picco sul Mare the lightness of the inimitable southern Italian dolce vita.
The more the summer progresses, the more the sun moves towards Capri. At the height of summer, you can finally watch the famous red sun sink into the sea at Capri from the terrace, with a glass of wine in your hand and the gentle sound of the sea in your ear.
BEACH ACCESS & SURROUNDINGS
A short flight of steps leads down to a small sandy bay about 80 metres from the holiday flat. It is separated by a rocky section from a longer, wide sandy beach that extends right up to the gates of the town centre. You can easily reach the old town centre on a walk along the beach. There are several restaurants and bars along the promenade. You will also find a supermarket in a side street of the Lungomare after approx. 1 km.
Agropoli itself offers many amenities as one of the larger towns in Cilento. There are restaurants and shops open all year round. If you are looking for Cilento specialities, you will find the Gastronomia del Corso restaurant in the town centre (approx. 3 km from the flat) with a small but fine selection and a fresh food counter with salumi from the Cilento.
Agropolis harbour has good connections to the Amalfi Coast, Capri and Salerno between June and September. In July and August, the coastal towns of the Cilento, such as Acciaroli, Palinuro or Marina di Camerota, can also be reached by boat from Agropoli.
THAT'S WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY
(Family B., October 2022) "My wife and I were allowed to spend a week in the named flat in October this year. I deliberately say "allowed" because it seems to us to be a privilege to be able to spend our holidays there. The flat is situated directly above the sea. In the evening, you can watch the sun set over Capri from the large terrace.
The flat is very tastefully furnished. The kitchen had everything we needed. Everything was very good. I would also like to emphasise the proximity to the sea, the tranquillity around the house, the beauty of the whole complex and the security of a fenced area where you can live and park your car.
We would like to thank the owners of the flat, who are extremely friendly and helpful. We would return to this place anytime. Thank you very much!!!"

Large picture windows look out onto the sea, where, on clear days, Capri, the isle of 'longing', appears on the horizon; a ca. 40 m² terrace runs along the width of the house and at your feet, the sea breaks gently on the scogliera - the rocky reef below the flat.
A picco sul Mare as well as neighbouring Casetta sulla Scogliera are located in a completely fenced private park with only few houses and private access of a small sandy beach bay. The lungomare of Agropoli with lidi, restaurants, bars and lovely promenade stretches out to the south of the bay. Sitting majestically enthroned upon a plateau, the lively Old Town of Agropoli is always within sight.
CLEAN LINES & MARITIME ATMOSPHERE
The spacious, for the greater part completely renovated flat accommodates up to 4 persons. Owner and architect Aurelia set store by clean lines and created a bright, cozy atmosphere with a clearly maritime touch.
The flat includes 2 double bedrooms, a bathroom (shower/WC/bidet, hair dryer) as well as a large, inviting live-and-eat-in kitchen, the latter with a unique panoramic view of the wide, deep blue sea lying so to speak in front of the door. The separate room behind the kitchen, where you will find a washing machine at your disposal, offers access of a small balcony with outdoor shower.
The live-and-eat-in kitchen (incl. gas stove, mobile oven, electric kettle, refrigerator with freezer compartment) and the smaller bedroom (next to the kitchen) open onto the furnished sea view terrace, which can be shaded by an awning. From the other bedroom, you have got a view of the medieval coastal watch tower. A picco sul Mare features WiFi, fly screens in the larger bedroom and TV.
180° SEA VIEW & SUNSETS OFF THE ISLE OF CAPRI
The view from the terrace is great - you can let your gaze roam from Agropoli to the south as far as the Amalfi Coast and the Gulf of Salerno to the north. The steady sounds of the sea, a pleasant summer breeze and spectacular sunsets over the sea - it is this special combination which adds to your holidays at A picco sul Mare the lightness of unique southern Italian dolce vita.
The more summer progresses, the more the sun moves towards Capri. In midsummer, sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine in hand and the gentle sounds of the sea in your ears, you can then watch the red sun disappear into the sea on the horizon off Capri.
ACCESS OF THE BEACH & SURROUNDINGS
About 80 metres from the flat, a short stepped path runs down to a small sandy bay. A rocky section separates it from a longer, wide sandy beach which stretches up to the 'gates' of the town centre. A leisurely walk along the beach takes you to the Old Town. On your way you pass several restaurants and bars. A supermarket is found approx. 1 km off, in a side road off the lungomare.
Agropoli as one of the larger towns in the Cilento offers many conveniences, such as restaurants and shops which are open year-round. Should you be on the lookout for Cilento specialties, you might stop at Gastronomia del Corso in the town centre (approx. 3 km from the flat), which offers a small, but exquisite assortment of goods and has a fresh food counter with salumi from the Cilento.
From June to September, boat connections from Agropoli harbour to the Amalfi Coast, to Capri and Salerno are good. In July and August, there are also boat services to the coastal towns of the Cilento, e.g. Acciaroli, Palinuro and Marina di Camerota.
