Description of the accommodation
This traditional Rorbu-style holiday house was rebuilt in 1998 directly on the coast, on the original Rorbu foundations.
It stands on the more sheltered inner side of the peninsula/mole leading to Garten.
The ground floor features a spacious kitchen/living area and a smaller bathroom with shower/WC. From the ground floor, you have access to two terrace areas.
Satellite TV: Norwegian and some European TV channels via Viasat.
Additionally, German and other international TV channels via Astra1. WiFi is for browsing only.
Swimming opportunities at the shallow beach, 300 m away.
On-site fish smoker for hot smoking.
Distance to rentable boats: approx. 20 m. Boats for rent: * a 19-foot boat with a 60 HP Suzuki four-stroke engine, GPS/chart plotter/fishfinder. * a 21-foot boat with a 115 HP Honda four-stroke engine, GPS/chart plotter/fishfinder.
On-site, there is a small building (10-12 m²) with a fish filleting bench, light, and running water.
It also includes a freezer, refrigerator, and space for storing fishing gear, etc. A boat trip under the bridge at Garten is only possible at high tide.
Salmon fishing is available at Norddalselva, about 70 km away.
Trout and char can be found in Lake Liavatnet, approx. 27 km away.
The holiday house is an ideal starting point for car excursions on the Fosen peninsula, e.g., to Trondheim and Røros. The town center with all services and express boats to Trondheim and Kristiansund, among other places, is only about 5 km away.
Day trip destinations within reach include Sjøgata at Uthaug, the nature reserves Innstrandfjæra, Grandefjæra, and Hovsfjæra, Austråttborgen (a castle from 1656, now a town museum), Fort Austrått with its large cannons from World War II (now a museum), Austrått Golf Course, and the trotting track. Bei meiner Ankunft fühlte ich mich willkommen, da alles so sauber war. Das Personal war hilfsbereit, wann immer ich Unterstützung benötigte. Es ist schön, wenn man sich beim Reisen für die Arbeit wohlfühlen kann. Sich vor dem Fernseher entspannen zu können, half mir, mich für spätere Meetings zu erholen.

Ik heb veel gereisd, maar deze plek springt echt eruit vanwege zijn unieke charme. In vergelijking met andere huurwoningen die ik heb geprobeerd, had het uitstekende keukengerei zoals een wafelijzer dat ontbijt leuk maakte. De indeling van de badkamer was ook handig, zowel een douche als een badkuip geven me opties.

Solo verblijven in dit vissershuisje was verfrissend. Ik vergelijk vaak plaatsen op basis van hun keukenvoorzieningen. Hier zorgde het feit dat ik alles had wat ik nodig had ervoor dat het bereiden van maaltijden leuker was. De toegang tot boten maakte mijn viservaringen ook veel leuker.
