From old to new! With this in mind, in 2023, a "rudere", a dilapidated farmhouse, was turned into Casetta Lupo, a holiday home with all kinds of comfort.

In marvelous panoramic location on the coast of Lucania (Basilicata), it invites you to spend unforgettable holidays in the authentic south of Italy.

A highlight you can also look forward to – a large infinity pool for shared use. HOLIDAYS ON THE TYRRHENIAN SEA Maratea’s coastal stretch on the Tyrrhenian Sea is unique.

Around the famous, small mountain town of Maratea, you find crystal clear waters, black beaches and lush vegetation.

Idyllic, yet unbelievably lively. HOLIDAY HOME WITH PANORAMA TERRACE Not far from Maratea lies Casetta Lupo – a gorgeous retreat between sea and mountains.

Completely restored in 2023, the small, old farmhouse now awaits you in new splendor as a modern and cozy holiday home.

The Casetta is small but mighty and is perfectly suited for a holiday as a couple.

Additionally, the sofa in the living room can be used as a sleeping facility for two more people. The well-appointed kitchen invites you to have a go at culinary experiments.

From here, you enter the panorama terrace, where, before dinner and completely in Italian style, you can enjoy an aperitivo with sea view.

Thanks to the orientation of the partly roofed terrace, you can experience wonderful sunsets during your stay. COOLING OFF IN THE INFINITY POOL Another highlight at Casetta Lupo is the almost 17-meter-long pool with a maximum depth of 2.20 meters.

This pool is for the shared use of the guests and the owners, who live in Rome and only visit Maratea sporadically. The Casetta is located on the highest point of the very spacious, terraced premises.

The pool and the owners’ holiday home lie on the level below Casetta Lupo.

This arrangement guarantees the guests absolute privacy in and around the house.

Even from the pool, the owners’ house is only partially visible due to the distance and the vegetation. Please note that the use of the pool, as well as walks on the premises, are always at your own risk. PARKING ON THE PROPERTY Those who wish to spend their holiday at Casetta Lupo will depend on a car on site.

Please note that currently, you cannot drive directly to the house.

A parking space is available on the fenced property below the pool.

From there, a footpath with approximately 30 meters difference in altitude needs to be covered to reach the house. Upon arrival and departure, the caretaker of Casetta Lupo will bring your luggage to the house or to your car.

Larger purchases can also be transported from the parking lot to the house by the caretaker, after prior agreement. IN THE SURROUNDINGS OF CASETTA LUPO The beach of Cersuta is only one kilometer away from the holiday home.

Less than a ten-minute drive from Casetta Lupo are the harbor of Marina di Maratea and some of the most beautiful beaches on this coast.

These include Acquafredda, Fiumicello, and Porto. The historic Old Town of Maratea with the famous statue of Christ the Redeemer is approximately 7.5 kilometers away.

Only a stone’s throw from the house is Ristorante Da Cesare, where you can enjoy delicious meals both at noon and in the evening. Mosquito nets in the bedroom. Pool shared with the owners. Deposit: € 100 – due upon arrival. Visitor’s tax - due on site: € 1 /person per day; charged June 01st - Sept. 30th, for max. 5 days and as of age 18 (no responsibility taken).
