In a marvellous panoramic location on the coast of Lucania (Basilicata), it invites you to spend unforgettable holidays in the authentic south of Italy. A highlight you can also look forward to - a large infinity pool for shared use.

VACATION ON THE TYRRHENIC SEA
The coast of Maratea is a unique stretch of land on the Tyrrhenian Sea. Surrounded by crystal-clear water, black beaches and lush vegetation lies the famous mountain town of Maratea. Idyllic and yet incredibly lively.

VACATION HOUSE WITH PANORAMIC TERRACE
Not far from Maratea lies Casetta Lupo - a dreamlike retreat between the sea and the mountains. Completely restored in 2023, the old farmhouse now shines as a modern and cosy holiday home. The casetta is small but beautiful and is perfect for a holiday as a couple. The sofa in the living room can also be used as sleeping accommodation for two more people.

The well-equipped kitchen invites you to try out your culinary skills. From here you can access the panoramic terrace, where you can enjoy an Italian-style aperitif with a sea view before dinner. Thanks to the orientation of the partially covered terrace, you can enjoy beautiful sunsets during your stay.

COOLING IN THE INFINITY POOL
Another highlight of Casetta Lupo is the almost 17-metre-long pool with a maximum depth of 2.20 metres. This pool is available for shared use by you and the owners, who live in Rome but only visit Maratea occasionally.

The casetta is located on the highest point of the property on the very extensive, terraced grounds. The pool and the owners' holiday home are located on the level below Casetta Lupo. This arrangement guarantees guests absolute privacy in and around the house. Even from the pool, the owners' house is only partially visible due to the distance and the vegetation.

Please note that use of the pool, as well as walks in the grounds, are always at your own risk.

PARKING ON THE PROPERTY
If you would like to spend your holiday at Casetta Lupo, you will need a car on site. Please note that it is currently not possible to drive right up to the house by car. A car park is available in the fenced area below the pool. From there, there is a footpath with a difference in altitude of approx. 30 metres to the house.

On arrival and departure, the Casetta Lupo manager will bring your luggage to the house or to the car. Larger purchases can also be transported from the car park to the house by prior arrangement with the caretaker.

IN THE SURROUNDINGS OF CASETTA LUPO
The beach of Cersuta is just one kilometre from the holiday home. Less than a ten-minute drive from the casetta is the harbour of Marina di Maratea and some of the most beautiful beaches on this coast. These include Acquafredda, Fiumicello and Porto.

The historic old town of Maratea with its famous statue of Christ is around 7.5 kilometres away. Just a stone's throw from the house is the Ristorante Da Cesare, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner.

HOLIDAY HOME WITH PANORAMA TERRACE
Not far from Maratea lies Casetta Lupo - a gorgeous retreat between sea and mountains. Completely restored in 2023, the small, old farmhouse now awaits you in new splendor as a modern and cozy holiday home. With its double bedroom, bathroom (shower/WC/bidet; hair dryer), living-dining room and kitchen, the Casetta is a lovely and perfect accommodation for a couple. The sofa in the living-dining room could be used as a sleeping facility for another two persons.

The well-appointed kitchen (incl. dishwasher, gas stove, fridge-freezer, capsule coffee machine, microwave, toaster, electric kettle) invites you to have a go at culinary experiments. It opens onto the panorama terrace, where, before dinner and completely Italian style, you can enjoy an aperitivo with sea view. The partly roofed terrace is also a perfect place to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets over the sea.

Furnishing of Casetta Lupo includes mosquito nets in the bedroom, a washing machine, WiFi and air conditioning, outdoor furniture and a barbecue.

COOLING OFF IN THE INFINITY POOL
Another highlight at Casetta Lupo is the pool with nearly 17 m in length and a maximum depth of 2.20 m. The pool is shared by the guests staying at Casetta Lupo and the owners, who live in Rome and stop at Maratea only every now and then.

The Casetta is located on the highest point of the rambling, terraced premises. The pool and the owners' holiday home lie on the level below Casetta Lupo. Due to the layout, you are sure to have your privacy in and around the house. Even from the pool, the owners' house is only partially visible, given the distance and the vegetation.

Please mind that the use of the pool and walks around the premises are at your own risk.

PARKING ON THE PROPERTY
When holidaying at Casetta Lupo, you need a car on site. Please mind that at the moment you cannot drive right up to the house. Parking is available on the fenced property, below the pool. From there, you have to follow a footpath up to the holiday home (ca. 30 m difference in altitude).

Upon arrival / at departure, the caretaker of Casetta Lupo will take your luggage to the house / to your car. Upon prior agreement, the caretaker will also help you with larger shopping, i.e. take it from the parking place up to the house.

IN THE SURROUNDINGS OF CASETTA LUPO
The beach of Cersuta is only 1 km from the holiday home and it is less than 10 min. by car to the harbour of Marina di Maratea and to some of the most beautiful beaches along this coast. The latter include Acquafredda, Fiumicello and Porto.

The historic Old Town of Maratea, watched over by the famous statue of Christ the Redeemer, is approx. 7.5 km off. Only a stone's throw from Casetta Lupo lies Ristorante Da Cesare, where you can treat yourself to delicious meals both at noon and in the evening.
