Lugar de Baixo is known for its connection to the sea and the farming of banana trees.
These two realities offer a fantastic contrast between the ocean blue colour and the green of the land ploughed by the people of this beautiful village. The house is located in a small residential area, integrated into a farming area, which gives it an exotic, calm and pleasant environment.
Recently refurbished, the house has a nice decoration and has a bedroom on the upper floor, with a double bed and private bathroom.
The living room offers all the comfort and access to the outside area, where you can enjoy good moments at mealtimes, rest and leisure.
The barbecue is perfect for making your favourite grills and gathering the family for a fantastic banquet.
The property has a maximum capacity of four people (bedroom with double bed and sofa bed for two in the living room). AREA The house is located in the southwest area of the island, on the site of Lugar de Baixo, municipality of Ponta do Sol. Situated by the sea, the Lugar de Baixo area is known for the cultivation of bananas and for being one of the places with the most sun exposure across the island.
This area has all the conditions for a calm summer vacation, with access to the beach, which is very close to the property.
In the surroundings you can find several restaurants with typical food, where meat, fish and seafood dishes are available on the menu.
Ponta do Sol and Ribeira Brava are a 2-minute drive and Calheta is a 13-minute drive.
In Ponta do Sol, Ribeira Brava and Calheta you will find more restaurants, supermarkets and local shops.
In Calheta you can dive on the sandy beach and the contemporary art museum “Casa das Mudas”. At Ponta do Sol there are also several restaurants and a beach. Funchal is a 25-minute drive and the airport is 35 minutes. PROPERTY RULES To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone, we ask that you observe a few simple rules. • Smoking is not permitted inside the property.
A fine of €300 will be charged for non-compliance. • Parties or events are not permitted. • Pets are not permitted. • Please be considerate of your neighbours and keep noise levels down, especially at night. The property may be equipped with a smart sensor (Minut) that monitors noise, smoke and temperature levels, solely for safety reasons.
This system does not record conversations or collect personal data.
Should abnormal levels be detected, a member of our team may contact you. You are not permitted to disable, cover or tamper this or any other equipment installed on the property. In accordance with Portuguese law, all guests must present valid identification for registration purposes. Municipal tourist tax (when applicable): €2.00 per person/night for guests aged 13 and above, up to a maximum of 7 nights (€14.00 per person per stay). A payment link will be sent prior to arrival. Check-in must be scheduled in advance.
If it is not arranged at least 48 hours beforehand, check-in will be subject to our team’s availability. Check-in: from 16:00 | Check-out: by 12:00 Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and an additional charge. By confirming your reservation, all guests agree to our house rules and accommodation conditions. OTHER NOTES All bed linen and towels are provided.
We can also provide, free of charge, a baby travel crib, high chair and baby bath upon request before check-in. Requests made less than 48 hours before arrival may be subject to an additional fee. All properties are equipped with a first aid kit, fire extinguishers and a fire blanket. For stays of 8 nights or more, a mid-stay service is provided, including the replenishment of bed linen, towels and consumables only.
This service is not included for shorter stays.
Additional cleaning services during your stay are available on request at an extra charge.

Was erg fijn dat op de helft van ons verblijf dat het huisje werd schoongemaakt en ons bed werd verschoond.
Dat er mogelijkheid was voor een babybedje en badje + kinderstoel
De keuken groot was en alle benodigdheden er waren.
Het nadeel was dat de bovenverdieping open was dus je moest erg zachtjes zijn als onze baby sliep.
Er zat een hele dikke zwarte haar op de shampoo fles bij binnenkomst.
De koekenpannen hadden geen antibak laag meer dus het kleefde erg snel aan de pan vast

Maison au calme avec une vue magnifique depuis la terrasse de la chambre.
L'arrivée tardive a été possible sans problème
La réactivité des hôtes pour apporter un tire bouchon manquant
Negative:
Manque des petites cuillères et une machine Nespresso.
Un petit déjeuner pour le lendemain aurait été apprécié (arrivé à minuit)
