Idyllically embedded among olive and pomegranate trees, Villa Solento lies in a gorgeous panoramic location on the slopes of Monte di Luna at Marina di Camerota.
Monte di Luna marks the starting point of one of the Cilento’s most fascinating coastal sections, the Infreschi marine nature park, which stretches with its impressive steep coast to the bay of the same name.
TWO TERRACES AND PURE SEA VIEW
The location of the very well-maintained holiday home of the Lamanna family is correspondingly rich in panoramas.
From the covered terrace in front of the house, the view extends far out to sea and to the oldest part of Marina di Camerota, which stretches out on a striking headland. The second terrace of Villa Solento extends alongside the house.
Olive and fruit trees, vibrant bougainvillea, dwarf fan palms, and lovingly planted terracotta vases invite you to relax and enjoy the dolce vita amidst nature and the crystal-clear sea of southern Italy. COZY ATMOSPHERE FOR 4 PEOPLE Villa Solento is entered via a small hallway with a coat rack.
The heart of the villa is the living/dining area, which faces the sea. Both areas have access to the covered, furnished sea-view terrace, which spans the entire width of the house. The cozy living area with a sofa and satellite TV is followed at the rear of the room by a dining area with a dining set for 4 and a display cabinet with glasses and dishes for all occasions.
The kitchen is accessible through the dining area. In the rear part of Villa Solento are the two bedrooms (double bed; 2 single beds) and the bathroom.
A guest toilet can be found in the entrance area of the house. The holiday home is equipped with gas heating.
A washing machine in a separate annex can be used upon request. Villa Solento has Wi-Fi, which may be subject to weather-related disruptions.
It is therefore not suitable for home office. Note: A dependance on the ground floor of the house remains unoccupied during your stay.
Also on the property, offset to the side and below Villa Solento, is a second holiday home, screened from view.
It has a separate driveway.
A fence separates the two holiday homes. PIZZA OVEN, OUTDOOR SHOWER, AND CARPORT The outdoor area of the house also provides for all kinds of amenities and comfort.
In addition to an outdoor shower, a pizza oven, an outdoor grill, sun loungers, and another dining area covered by a pavilion are available on the terrace to the side of the villa.
From here, you also have partial views of the sea. A car can be parked on the fenced property in the carport or directly outdoors in front of the house. SWIMMING, DINING OUT, AND SHOPPING IN MARINA DI CAMEROTA At the foot of Monte di Luna lies the Lentiscelle beach, which is partially serviced from June onwards and is accessible on foot in about 900 m. Worth a visit and a short hike is Pozzallo beach with the beach bistro of the same name run by the Marchese family. The beach bay is part of the marine nature park and is very easily accessible from Monte di Luna via a heavenly panoramic hiking trail.
Boats from the cooperatives Cilento Mare and Cilento Blu also dock here, allowing you to travel further to Baia Infreschi or back to Marina di Camerota. Shopping can be done at the supermarkets in Marina di Camerota, which are open year-round.
A car is recommended for this, as the supermarkets are about 1.2 to 2 km from Villa Solento.
Every two weeks (except in August), on Friday mornings, a weekly market takes place in the harbor area. Especially during the summer months, countless restaurants in the center of Marina di Camerota invite you to feast.
If you like the original Cilento fish cuisine, visit Peppe Troccoli in his restaurant Ammore e Mare in the alleys of Marina. If you prefer a slightly more upscale fish cuisine, keep an eye out at the Lungomare for Davide Mea's Taverna del Mozzo, which is generally also open for lunch and well into the low season.
This also applies to the family-run Ristorante Brera in Via Alfonso. Pizza oven; Pavilion with covered dining area Children's bed and highchair: upon request Washing machine (in separate annex): use upon request Fireplace: for decorative purposes only Deposit: €150 - to be paid locally on arrival. Visitor's tax to be paid locally: Oct. – May €0.50 /person per day; June – Sept. €1 /person per day; Children under 10 years free. (no guarantee) Central heating: €10 /day; payable locally if used.
