Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model offers a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the foundation Vacation in architectural monument (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society.
Public transport: Every 10 minutes: Bus 201 from Montreux or Villeneuve, bus stop ‘Bonivard’. Walk up Rue Bonivard to the 1st square with a fountain. Once an hour: S3 train from Montreux or Villeneuve, ‘Veytaux-Chillon’ stop. Walk up the Rue du They to the 1st square with a fountain.
Car: from the RC Montreux-Villeneuve, follow the signs ‘Veytaux Village’ or ‘Hôtel Masson’ and go up to the 1st square with a fountain.
Car park: There is a free car park in front of the house (not covered). It is possible to buy a parking card for each additional car (CHF 6.- / day). The parking cards are available in the flat.
Number of persons 6-9: The house can accommodate up to nine guests (plus baby). There are two large rooms each with a double bed (160x200), two smaller rooms each with a bunk bed (90x200) and one room with a single bed (80x200). A baby cot (up to 2 years) is also available.
Season: The house can be rented all year round.
Short holidays: Short stays Low season
Outdoor space: The flat has a private balcony and the garden is for shared use.
Heating: Central heating (pellets) with radiators.
Stove / fireplace: Fireplace.
WLAN: Is available.
Pets: Pets are not allowed.
Altitude: 438 metres above sea level.
