Aci Castello and its neighbour Aci Trezza, are two pearls on the east coast of Sicily. A visit to the Norman Castle of Aci Castello, which stands on a basaltic cliff with an extremely rare rock composition, formed by a marine eruption over 500,000 years ago, is not to be missed.

The town is located a few kilometres from Catania, famous for its historical centre that has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its architectural wonders, but also the liveliness of its popular markets, the wild beauty of Mount Etna and the limpid sea of the coast will captivate even the most demanding guests.
