The unique view of Lake Tegernsee and the surrounding mountains make a holiday at the Leeberghof unforgettable. But it's not just the stunning panorama that makes the 150-year-old Leeberghof a special gem of the Upper Bavarian hotel and catering industry. The hotel, owned from 1917 by the royal councillor of commerce Georg Theodor Pschorr from the Munich brewery dynasty, has offered a successful mix of nostalgia and international glamour since it was taken over by hotelier Johannes Rabl in 2017.
The rooms are called "Ludwig Thoma", "Jennerwein" or "Sissis Loge" and their interiors are as different as their names. None of the 15 dream apartments are the same, but they all have one thing in common: a personal and individualised approach.
The Wuidara Bar, on the other hand, brings international flair to the Leeberghof, which is located high up on the mountain. The award-winning bar is a meeting place and stage not only for hotel guests, but also for the "who's who" at Lake Tegernsee. "Cramped and beguiling inside, wide and breathtaking outside" is how many regular guests sum it up.
The culinary offering at the Leeberghof is characterised by Bavarian classics and international crossover cuisine. The dedicated crew led by head chef Roland Sternkopf gets the game from local hunters, the freshly caught fish from Tegernsee fishermen and the dairy products from organic farmers in the region. The herb garden is right behind the house and even the jams for breakfast are homemade.
