Roxby, a cottage near Pooley Bridge has an enviable location where the garden stretches right to the banks of the River Eamont.
This continues its journey past the cottage to Lake Ullswater.
Being all ground floor, the bungalow provides spacious family accommodation perfect for those who struggle with stairs.
Furnished and equipped to a high standard, guests can relax in the spacious lounge, on warm, sunny days, open the picture windows framing the view over the garden to the river and bring the outdoors in or enjoy a glass of wine on the patio next to the river.
Linger a while with a cuppa in the bright, sunny breakfast room and plan your days adventure.
On the days you prefer not to cook in the well equipped kitchen, head into Pooley Bridge, a 2 minute walk and dine at one of the inns, cafes or bistro. Pooley Bridge sits on the north eastern shores of Lake Ullswater, known as the most romantic lake in the Lake District. Being only a 15 minute drive from Penrith and the M6, it is easily reached and holidaymakers flock to the pretty village to admire the scenery, sit outside with a refreshing pint at one of the Inns serving locally brewed ales, enjoy afternoon teas on the banks of the river or to wonder around the shops. This cottage’s location was perfect.\r\nFrom entering to leaving we all felt at home. \r\nBeautifully presented lots of extras \r\nEverything we needed and more. \r\nShops,eating places and pubs on doorstep \r\nEntertainment going on but not late and certainly not loud. \r\nEasy access to put Kayaks on the river. \r\nGreat base to explore the Lake District \r\n

One of the best cottage rentals we've had - a real home from home, despite the rain!
Simply stunning location with loads of great walking areas around. Great location near village and main routes into and through Lake District. Really clean, well equipped and comfortable.

We shared three wonderful days with family in this excellent bungalow which was exactly as advertised….stunning view and easy access to Pooley Bridge. \r\nSlight hiccup on the final morning when the electricity cut out but on contacting the office it was soon rectified.\r\nWe would certainly return again.
