We did not end up staying at Washington Emerald. Our host sent us to another property in Gateshead. This was further away than we would have wished. Whilst the bedding and towels were of a high standard and the flat was reasonably clean, the distance from where we stayed and also the area we were in left us feeling unsafe.

This is a lovely quiet apartment in a newer building. Walkable to local shop etc. Private, off-street designated parking was a nice bonus. The furnishings were superb, and we hope to stay there again.
As this property is hosted by a 3rd party company, there is some additional communication required, but it was worth it! All went very well.
