In the summer, Franche-Comté offers hikers, road cycling (especially thanks to the ball of Alsace) and mountain bikers many activities. Fishing is also carried out by the rivers and lakes of the region, as well as river tourism in the Saône valley. Outdoor hotels account for almost 40% of their overnight stays in the Lake Country with relatively large campsites. All accommodation combined, almost two thirds of the tourist consumption is made from April to September.
