Afterward, the family can gather in the kitchen-living room on the large wooden corner bench for a snack or board games.

On the upper floor, there is another holiday apartment for 10 people.

The house can also be booked as a whole for a group of 16 people.

Todtnau is located in the heart of the Southern Black Forest Nature Park, between Feldberg, Todtnauberg, and the sunny Wiesental valley, making it an ideal starting point for hiking, walking, cycling, alpine skiing, and cross-country skiing in a charming mountain landscape.

The ski bus stop is 50 meters away – in just 10 minutes, the bus will take you to the ski area at Feldberg, the highest mountain in the Black Forest, with 68 kilometers of slopes.

However, the town's central location is also perfect for numerous excursions in the summer.

Right outside your door, you'll find access to the Hasenhorn chairlift, featuring Germany's most spectacular summer toboggan run, and a downhill biking trail.

The Todtnau waterfalls (5 km away), the extensive hiking areas of Todtnauberg (6 km) and Feldberg (11 km), the Wildpark Steinwasen wildlife park (14 km), Schluchsee and Titisee lakes (22 km), or the Münstertal wine region (23 km) are all easily accessible.

Freiburg's old town is a 45-minute drive away, and Switzerland, with the Rhine Falls and Basel, is about an hour away by car.
